Yesterday I watched Back to the Future. Yes, I FINALLY watched it. For a long time, I kept ignoring this movie and telling myself, "I'll watch it tomorrow... maybe next week..." But I kept getting surrounded by YouTube Shorts about it, and eventually I thought:

"Nah... I'm gonna have to watch this."

Honestly, it's been a REALLY long time since I watched a movie with this kind of vibe... school-life? adventure? I don't even know. I've been so addicted to video games over the last few years... but I've been getting better at controlling myself and discovering new hobbies, like listening to CASSETTE TAPES.
Do you know what it's like to listen to a freaking cassette tape in 2026??? 😭

My grandma had an old radio at her house that could play tapes, and there was a random cassette lying around. I asked:
"Grandma, can I try it?"
With her permission, I put the tape in...

Wow.

I felt like the coolest guy in the universe.
"HOLY CRAP, I'M LISTENING TO A CASSETTE TAPE IN 2026!!!"
And now I've bought three cassette tapes to listen to with my grandma. (And soon I'm buying a Walkman because apparently I enjoy spending money. 😭)

Anyway, about Back to the Future...
Man, what an awesome movie.
I totally understand why it was so innovative for its time, just like Star Wars. (Which I still need to watch, by the way.)
I don't really know how to review movies XD, but the main actors, Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, absolutely CRUSHED their roles. Their performances felt so genuine and emotional. It actually inspired me even more to try pursuing an acting career someday.
I really like movies from the 80s and their overall vibe. As a kid, I could be pretty stubborn about older media sometimes... or maybe not, because I watched Pokémon and ThunderCats without any problem. Maybe I've just always been lazy. XDDD

Anyway, I've said what I wanted to say. Now for one last fun fact:
Did you know my name was almost Anakin??????????? 😭
My dad had no idea what the heck Star Wars was, and then my mom changed her mind.

....................DAMN IT, DAD.

Don't worry, though.
My son will be named Lucky.

(Or maybe not.)

Yeah it's a pretty damn amazing movie.
I'd say the Back to the Future films are my favorite trilogy of movies ever.

I had the VHS of the first movie as a kid and I remember my dad taking me to see 2 and 3 in the theater. Such a great trilogy, although I am not a big fan of number 2. It's not a bad movie, but I think that 1 and 3 are better.

I think I watched that trilogy for the first time last year-ish? Great movies would recommend that bully dude sucks.

First one is certainly my and many others' favorite but you still have two great films to look forward to if you're going to be checking out the sequels(which you should). The third one in particular is a lot of fun and I'm sure I cant be the only one who considers it a western( a good one at that).

Very nice!

Now, if you'd excuse me...

*Crawls on the floor and hopelessly talks herself out of endlessly quoting the whole trilogy* xD

Saw all three movies for the first time back in 2021. They're fantastic movies.

I've seen this film at least a couple hundred times. Definitely the best of the trilogy. I probably prefer 3 to 2, though. Even though it felt like a big departure because of the setting, I always found 2 a tad bit on the boring side.

Glad you enjoy watching it. Just fyi, there is a trilogy, an animated series, and a telltale game. Definitely worth checking all of them, especially the animated series. It also has Bill Nye the science guy.

I watched Back to the future trilogy years ago. Great movies. Also, thanks to those trilogy, i get to know DeLorean DMC-12.

Cool! Now watch the sequel.

Certified childhood classics (Odd given the first movie had Doc literally gunned by terrorists and Marty commiting accidental incience), my favorite is Part II, but the first one has a nice place in my heart, thanks Marty for introducing me to fire music

I remember watching this movie years ago. then one day i went to a ralphs store and when i got to the entrance i saw a car that had a glass over the trunk and you could see inside. it was just wires and metal things and i step like woah... it looked just like the car from this movie. No idea if it was a replica or the original one.

After going into ralphs my plan was to come out and take a picture next to the car but when i came outside the car was gone.

Amazing movie.
