I want to play an Empires-style Musou game based on fantasy or sci-fi themes.

While I'm hoping to see more Musou games of this type on the future Switch 2, the only one currently scheduled for release is the seemingly conventional-looking Dynasty Warriors: Origin.

Personally, It would be better to play the older ones....also for scifi, Gundam musou or Dynasty Warriors Gundam on the ps2.

TBH it would be cool to play Musou versions of Armored Core and Phantasy Star, but I would also want customization aspect of these series intact.

Yeah, the DW Gundam spin-offs are the only Sci-Fi ones I'm aware of. Unless there are some musou clones I'm missing

If you include post apocalyptic sci fi in the mix, the two Fist of the North Star musou games would also match. Also, Fire Emblem Three Hopes and the Zelda Warriors would meet the fantasy element. Still, I get the feeling. I love the DW franchise and would like seeing it applied to more properties. I love the DW Gundam games too. Perhaps a Mythology Warriors with a bunch of crossover with gods from different pantheons could be cool. Perhaps with a Greek, Norse, and Japanese factions?
