Hi! I’m posting for the first time in a loooooong while from my own account instead of snooping on Olive’s lol… Anywho, I work a dumb supermarket job and commute a lot on the subway, so I realized that during that time I could be playing my SP!

I was wondering what games I should try out and what pirating/modding I can do on my SP?

I already have pipe dream (GB), warioware (GBA), and super circuit (GBA). I am not too big on platformers other than Yoshi, I like puzzle games (like puyo puyo, tetris, pipe dream) and I don’t want to spend too much money!

Please help me!!!

I use a Krikkz EverDrive Advance, which is pricey but solid, not sure how the cheaper ones hold up. But I'd definitely recommend some sort of flash cart solution, as trying to collect actual games these days, by the time you've bought a handful of quality titles you're basically talking the price of an EverDrive.

As far as games go, the Advance Wars games are super solid and might scratch your puzzle itch a bit. The JRPGs come fast and furious, with Final Fantasy 1-6 all getting arguably definitive versions with bonus endgame content (except for 3), made even better with ROM hacks to correct colors and add better sound.

I believe I saw that the latest version of the EverDrive Advance actually has a tilt sensor in it, so you can play WarioWare Twisted, Kirby Tilt & Tumble and Yoshi Topsy-Turvy with it, which all seem up your alley.

Oooh Mario Vs. Donkey Kong is a really clever puzzle game with a hint of the old Lemmings game. I've heard good things about Chu-Chu Rocket.

Incidentally, I think anyone with a GBA flash cart might be legally required to at least try the Mother 3 fan translation if you're not completely allergic to JRPGs.

Dragonball Advanced Adventure is one of the most fun games on the GBA, and when you beat the game you can play through the whole thing again as Krillin in his most overpowered form yet!

There's also River City Ransom EX, more than just a remake of the original RCR, you can recruit several party members based on your reputation, so don't kick people when they're down or spam special moves if you want to be respected!

The Fire Emblem games are also pretty good. There's a lot of other stuff on there that's like that. The Megaman Zero series, the Mario Advance series, the Final Fantasy games. They're all just, pretty good.

i'll list some of my favorite must play GBA games to give an idea
all the Castlevania GBA games:
circle of the moon is a bit rough and less RPG stuff but close to "old" castlevania whips and holy water etc, and if you know the game well enough easy to break with the card glitches
Harmony of dissonance is more closer to Symphony of the night
Aria of Sorrow is not only my personal favorite MetroidVania ever, but extensively playable (if you care to collect all the enemy souls to max)

Advance guardian heroes, a sequel to one of the BEST beat em ups ever (serious, if you've NEVER played guardian heroes on sega saturn, or 360 remaster which both can be emulated, you're missing out)

Gunstar super heroes, i've never seen so much graphics on a GBA game before this, it looks amazing and plays like a run and gun (contra).

Summon night swordcraft story, there's 2 in english, and another in japanese (translation patches exist)

F-zero GP legend and Climax (japan game with translation patch), now if you rather play F-zero X or GX you'd prob ignore this, but I really like GP legend, climax is about the same just with a "double booster" and much harder tracks.
check out the E-reader track hack for GP legend, there's a LOT of tracks on there

golden sun both games if you already DID not play them, best RPGs on GBA by a landslide

all the megaman Zero games, Zero 2 is still my favorite one of all megaman games period.
now you COULD just play it on the megaman Zero/ZX collection (which is 6 games) i'd recommend it

metroid zero mission, and fusion, zero mission is great and much better than playing Metroid NES (it's a remake of NES metroid 1).

River City Ransom EX, hands down the best version of the first RCR (NES), very fun if you've never played any of them, much replayable, expecially with custom characters and various cheats, and endings, only lacking multiplayer really. if you play this i HIGHLY recommend looking up how to RECRUIT more people to your team, i guarantee you play BLIND you'll miss a LOT

shining soul 1 and 2, ARPG games (think diablo) and both are 4 player co-op if that matters, but interesting games even in singleplayer (about 8 classes in both games with many save slots)

sonic advance 2, now they're all good but advance 2 is one of the BEST SONIC GAMES PERIOD, i don't care what anyone says about it, it's all about speed like a sonic game should be, air tricks are fun, lots of secret paths and such, great music.

final fantasy tactics Advanced, which i think is much more fun/enjoyable than FFT ps1 (even the remake)
i always had a hard time getting into ps1 tactics, but the GBA tactics advance is not only easier to get into, but MUCH LESS HARDER, PS1 tactics is just downright frustrating, i'm playing remaster FFT and on easy mode its still frustrating, never felt that way on GBA version at all, it was fun the whole playthrough both times i did it, and most of all NOT HAVING PERMADEATH (on ps1/remaster you can perma lose units)
