Hey guys, it's me it's omelette man Sanomoe!
Since my early years, I've always been behind on the console generations, because, being brazilian, and thus, living on a third-world country, you could only stuck with consoles where you could either rent, or get a "second-handed" copy of them. This was true with the SNES and PSOne, the consoles I had. When I got my first PC, in 2006, I finally learned about the world of emulation, and could experience a multitude of games that, before, I could only read on videogame magazines, and with them, imagine how the game would play like, due the lack of gameplay videos on TV.
I first discovered RGT, through CDRomance, and before that, as Nicoblog, as a reliable source of games. After turning into RGT, I've created this account, for the sake of using the repo. After more than a year, I've decided to get rid of all the other social media accounts, like Twitter and Bluesky, I used to own, even though I've used them for years, because I was simply not happy with how those places operates, be that the algorithm-hungry engagement that hides your posts from followers, overall sense of never-ending conflicts, or just the feel of no one paying attention to what you like. I was just not happy with social media anymore, especially with dealing with my psychological problems. I was thinking about making this place into something more than just one to have an account to use the repo. This actually was not my first rodeo as a forum user, because I've had an account on a brazilian gaming-oriented forum, more than 15 years ago, but never went too far on it. But then, after having a very pleasant chat with @χKai on Discord, because I've seen she followed me in here, even thought I've never posted anything, I've remembered that one thing I like the most on Orkut (a defunct social media website from 2005, that was more popular in Brazil and India than the rest of the world) was it's "communities", that worked just like forums, where you created a topic, and chatted about stuff. I have a group of internet friends from there since 2009 up to this day, and although we may have our differences, I'm glad for the companionship I have with them, especially in late 2023, when they presented me the parts of my current PC, where I can play many modern-era games, and even emulate consoles I barely could run properly, like PS2 for an example. So, I've decided to post on topics, socialize with people in mine and their posts on their pages (it even reminds me of how Youtube had something similar), and the rest is story
I have three main favorite genre of games: JRPGs, fighting, and Shmups (in this order).
My favorite JRPGs series are Chrono, Xeno (all of them), Final Fantasy, Mana, Bravely and more;
My favorite fighting series are Street Fighter, King of Fighters, Samurai Shodown, Guilty Gear, Darkstalkers, etc.;
My favorite shmup series are Axelay, Gradius, Twinbee, R-Type, Ginga Force, Deathsmiles, Parodius, etc.
I also like anime and manga, like Monogatari series, Card Captor Sakura, Dragon Ball, Video Girl Ai, D-Frag, JoJo, The World God Only Knows, Madoka Magica, Battle Royale, Rosario + Vampire, Dr. Slump, etc. I haven't dedicated much time to those nowadays, because videogames were, and always have been, my favorite pasttime.
I also have a very wacky sense of humor, and some people in here could vouch for it in some of my posts
I'm here to have a good time, be that making friends or just being peers. I seek for a friendly convivence with people here, because everyone have their own struggles and battles, so it costs nothing to be at least polite and friendly with others. At least that's my raison d'être. I also wanna extend my thanks to everyone which I had a good interaction with here, and may you have all the best!
