I started reading books about games, there are so many games where they are also available as books .
Somehow if you know the story of the game no matter which one then you play it differently and more intensely .
An interesting experience !

Hm which games? I know movies get those novel tie ins though I never heard of this for games save for manga adaptations

I always enjoyed reading the Warcraft books because I was so invested in the setting. Some of them were pretty great. I remember particularly liking the ones named Shattering and War Crimes since Garrosh is my favorite character in Warcraft.

I don't know if this fits what you're going for, this is Spelunky's creator autobiographical book and as a fan of that game and hobbyst dev I found this book quite enjoyable and easy to read through.

I need to find Masters of Doom in another language but it's hard...

I actually really enjoyed the 1st Halo novel trilogy.

The Fall of Reach did a great time setting up the universe of the games, and The Flood gave more detail than we got during the actual game itself.

The weakest is probably First Strike, mostly because its a forgettable plot that only really serves to fill the gaping plothole left by the game's cliff hanger ending.

In middle school, I read novelizations of Doom and Diablo lmao. They were alright for a young dorky teenager.

Ico had a novelization that was released in 2011. Another game I can think of that also had a book that actually started as a book was Parasite Eve. The video game came out a few years later.

Self explanatory. Mine last 20-40 minutes depending on what I'm doing in the game. How about you?
