I'm sorry, but Duolingo won't help you much. It's good for introduction, but if you really want to learn the language, eventually you'll need to go beyond it. You'll have to read books, watch movies, or even YouTube videos in German. I'm not saying this to discourage you, but there's a reason why so many people say Duolingo is terrible or prefer to pay for a language course rather than rely on him.
