Been wasting way too much time on retrogame365 lately.
It’s basically just a wall of old games you can jump into instantly. No installs, no weird setup, no “premium subscription” popups every 3 seconds.

Started with Contra and somehow ended up replaying Metal Slug at 2am.
The dangerous part is you keep seeing another game you forgot existed.

Kinda feels like old internet again.

First post ever, and we're talking about another website?
Hmmmm..........

Watch out for those sneaky, cunning game designers from the days of old! At first, you start the game, touch the grass, ride a horsie, lead a decent social life... And then you steal a chicken! With the help of a hawk!11 And then you're like: OMG, is it already 2 a.m.??

First you suspend your disbelief

Then you suspend your sense of time

I literally spent all of yesterday playing Zillion on master system
never even heard of the game until literally yesterday

Sometimes you wonder what became of the developers of the games we play today. The internet doesn’t know about them, and the companies haven’t existed for ages... It’s the same with those once-iconic heavy metal bands that only old folks remember now. And then you accidentally find out that the dude whose voice thundered across the whole city like an air-raid siren during a live show is now quietly working as a graphic designer :)

Hahaha yeah, I’ve been there done that many times, “I’ll just play for a bit” snd then suddenly the birds are chirping and the sun is coming up. Good times.

You’re not a true gamer unless you’ve been here a few times.

Welp, seems like I'm not a true gamer then.

I just don't force myself to continue when I feel tired.
It's not about "forcing" oneself to continue, but quite the opposite. It's about getting swept up & carried away by something, and completely forgetting about the passage of time in the process..

Seems like I never really experienced that then since I often check time (maybe to the point that it's an OCD).

That's the best feeling in the world, man.
Maybe but I think the rest of the day won't go smoothly. Apparently one missed sleep is the equivalent of having to sleep well for three or four days.

I taken the challenge so many times and yeah, that is a bitch but i don't mind doing it again.

I think it also depends on the person.

Once, my friend and I had a sleepover and didn't go to sleep til 4 AM (after getting ourselves wrecked on screens and junk food), then slept until 5 PM and woke up really fresh.
