I miss video game manuals in my game case

I miss buying PC games in the 90's, and getting what felt like EVERYTHING in one of the coolest boxes! Space Hulk, Bloodnet, and countless others! Getting the code wheels for copy protection, the posters and all the extras was the coolest thing ever! Now a days corporate profit margins won't allow for the golden years to ever return sadly.1

That was Reggie's idea. He convinced them to bundle Wii Sports with the Nintendo Wii and it was a success. But as you can see now, if it was for Nintendo Japan it would've been a different story.

Reggie is a goddamn saint

I miss game manuals a ton. Reading through them on the ride home always added to the excitement and anticipation of playing a new game.

I have a bunch of Switch games with manuals. Some of them have other things too like art cards, comic book, etc. Manuals aren't a given so you shouldn't expect them, but there are still a fair amount of releases that include them. I actually keep a bunch of plastic sleeves around to put manuals in whenever I get a game that has them just to ensure they don't get any wear and tear inside the case.

That rules! None of the physical Switch games I've purchased have had manuals beyond a thing sheet with a download code or membership club link. Cool to know manuals are still being produced.

Having no manual in the case is just sad.

A few examples of games with manuals (and other things) that I pulled from the net, don't feel like taking pictures of my own stuff at the moment
