(I know the title looks bland but just hear me out on this)

I've been played sooo many JRPGS title and i said it white chronicle is one of those games who always stay in my hearts and have been impacting my lives ever since then. First time i've played white chronicles was when i'm in Middle School and lemme tell you the me from back then was very fucked up in term of socializing and communicating lol. This games practically have everything that i loved. A post apocalyptic worlds, The MC was an old dude veteran, the stories are very good, the time traveling was a nice touch and instead of your party travel with you (like in chrono trigger) all you have is yourself, and when we talk about battle mechanic it's super fun since practically moving your enemy is a must in this game to gain the maximum yield of damage, and IT'S A JRPG sooooooo i got hooked instantly. I think that's enough glazing.

But then upon hours of playing the game i got too hooked with Stocke as a character (well i always got hooked with any RPG Character i played lol) and how it's relationship with others grew over the course of the game. I mean if you guys think about it Stocke practically have seen everyone around him dying and meet the bitter end he's your typical scarred veteran charcter and somehow he'll relive all those pain again but in the other hand he also gain the power to change that ending itself.

the only thing that's hit me deep are how fierce stocke stories itself talks about turning the wheel of fate but yet that same character can't escape it's own fate since he basically still sacrifice itself at the end of the game. But one thing sprout to me that even if what i fight for are inevitable doom. So even if i somehow lost my life i can always live forever through the bond i made and every impact i give to the world (basically ending my life as a super antisocial dude)

And another thing i learned was since i didn't have white chronicles if i decided to do something i gotta grit myself with every single consequence i got lol.

It isn't a post-apocalyptic world. It's undergoing desertification and that's a big issue, but society has not collapsed, and they still have a chance.

An aside: I feel like the original release of this was similar to Chrono Trigger, and some of the best JRPGs from the 90's. The main quest takes up the majority of play time. Side quests are few and thoughtful. I disliked how the 3DS version of the game changed art styles and inundated the game with tedious side quests that fill every modern RPG.

Oh yeah i kinda messed up with post apocalyptic

(My brain literally processed it like world in a fucked up condition = post apocalyptic)

This game still on my Backlog because I here one staff from Radiata Stories make this game together with some staff from Growlanser
Yeah it got my 2 favorite rpgs series on it.

I want to play this game but I don't know if I should pick the DS version or the 3DS one, I've heard the have too many diferences.

I played most of it, but got to a jungle temple with a locked door without any visible way to progress and stopped playing. I had too many time points to jump to. I was utterly lost.

It is a great game tho. I think it is a bit disappointing in having so many endings that amount to just a few lines of text and it being so massive yet sometimes not pointing very well where to go next.
