Hello Retrogamers!
I'm just an old guy that play since young, i have memories of my father buying me my first consoles and play with me, not all memories are good haha i remember getting REKT in Soul Calibur in a 1v1 with him, until i started learning a little bit to play Voldo :). Lolo 2 on NES is where we squeezed our brains to pass levels during Christmas/Easter vacations, i remember that as if it was yesterday, we never finished it i think, we did try every vacation for years! This is why i believe gaming has such a big chunk of my life alongside with fishing, hunting and whatnot!
I was born in Italy, 1990, the gold era of... everything? It is probably why i am here today going from RGT to RA searching for games i played or missed entirely in those years. My favorite games are Final Fantasy VIII-IX, the ones i was able to play fully since i was a lil bit older, iv spent countless hours on them trying to 100% them, i say this now with internet in my pocket but back then the only thing i could look up to was the official guide book for the extra 20.000 Lire xD.
While looking for games to play this past week, I noticed that one big factor I subconsciously look for in a game is the soundtrack. hell i am writing this while this playlist goes on my headset!
Japan is a monster when we talk about music in games, this give me shivers! And nostalgia hurts!
What else i can say, ill be able to start play in a few days, a project to create a retro machine whit what i can is going on now, nothing special, maybe ill make a post when done so i can inspire or help someone get in to retro gaming with few $!
