I may or may not have made the title of thread for dramatic effect, it depends on who's reading this & has played this game before. Either way, grab some popcorn because this is a doozy of a story here.

Just to simply set the stage, in Namco's MotoGP3, well their MotoGP series as a whole, if you start season mode & select the hard difficulty, you'll be limited to select one of 3 back marker teams to start the first season of your MotoGP journey. To give myself a challenge, & a chance to really succeed in my first season, I enabled the simulation mechanic (tip: rebind the gas & brake controls to the right thumbstick, & enable weight shift, you can thank me later), as well as random weather, & setting the number of laps to full length. And to top it all off, I picked the weakest bike on the grid in terms of stats, being the Yamaha YZR500 of Yamaha Redbull MCW. Now that the stage is set, here's how it went.

In the first 5 races, I accumulated 2 wins, the first at the rainy season opener at Suzuka, & an absolute nail-biter at round 5 in Mugello. Accompanied by 2 3rd place finishes & a 4th place finish. A pretty good first stretch for all things considered. But I need to be consistent if I wanna challenge the final boss of MotoGP, Valentino Rossi, for the championship.

In the next 5 races, I scored 2 3rd places, a second place, a third win on the season & a 5th place finish in round 10 At Brno. But at the same time, Rossi had a not so good finish at Brno(Which ironically, in the real life 2002 MotoGP season MotoGP 3 is "Based" on, Rossi suffered his only DNF at Brno), only scoring 12 points at that race, hampering his points lead heading into the last stretch of the season.

In rounds 11-14, I bagged 2 mores win, for a total of 5 in my rookie season, on rain soaked Estoril & Phillip Island, a 4th place finish at Motegi, & a second place finish at Sepang. And with Rossi's bad finish at Sepang, only scoring 14 points, I was able to close the points gap between me & Rossi by a mere 4 points heading into the final round at Valencia. However at Valencia, it was dry & sunny, and as soon as I saw that on the round splash art, immediately I thought it was GGs. But I went ahead and gave it my all anyway.

After practicing, I noticed that Rossi qualified 4th. So if I can qualify well, I can keep up with Rossi during the race, by way of drifting around the corners & not by raw speed. I did my last qualifying session of the season, manage to get a solid 6th place starting spot for the race. For the points situation, if Rossi wins the race, he wins the championship. If I somehow win the race on the worst bike on the grid, then I win the championship first try, but that was not gonna with the slow Redbull YZR500. But still I roll forward, 5 lights on, 5 lights off & the Final Race of the MotoGP Season is underway. As the race went on, I snatched 4th away from Sete Gibernau and now its me & Rossi for 3rd. Slowly but surely, I was gaining on hm & eventually passed him for 3rd place. The points battle came back on the marquee while I was racing; if I would of finish 3rd & Rossi 4th right there, Rossi would still be the champ...just by 2 points. I would need 5 or more points to win the championship. So now I needed to hustle, the hunt for points has elevated and the next rider to pass is the late Daijiro Kato. But there's some bad news, Kato (and Alex Barros) halfway through the season upgraded from a Honda NSR500 from his respective team, to the almighty Honda RC211V. Presenting another uphill battle after catching, passing & gapping Rossi, with only a handful of laps to go. NGL, my championship hopes looks bleek as the laps were winding down. But then lap traffic came to the rescue, slowing down both Kato & race leader Max Biaggi. Couple more laps of close battling, I passed Kato for second & never looked back. Soon, I wheelied over the finish line for second place while Biaggi claims the victory. Now for the results.

So me & Kato finished 7 seconds behind Biaggi, but more importantly, Rossi finished 4th. I scored 22 points & he scored 18. But there was one factor I neve accounted for during the battle, and when I final standings, I couldn't believe what I saw.

Me & Valentine Rossi tied at 323 points! I had to walk out the room when I saw that! I could not believe we tied for points, but then I notice the positions of Rossi and I; I'm first in points, and he's second even though we're tied. I was confused as to why. But then I click ok...

I WON THE MOTOGP CHAMPIONSHIP IN MY ROOKIE SEASON, DETHRONING THE FINAL BOSS OF MOTOGP, VALENTINO ROSSI! I wanted to scream but it was 1 in the morning, so I internally screamed, but I still couldn't believe it. Even with, literally the worst bike on the grid, I manage to come out on top.

And I unlocked Akira Yanagawa of the Kawasaki Racing Team to boot. And thus, my journey to become MotoGP Champion is complete. But now a journey has risen, defend the crown & grab another championship.

If you somehow, someway managed to read through this horse crap all the way through. Well firstly, thank you for taking the time to read this. And secondly...

Any decent racing will teach you the valuable lesson of it's never end of the world until the world really ended. ::winkfelix lol

I actually love the find "impossible ways to win races" thing by finding perfect moments to take turns and stuff which I played Racing Lagoon a lot for it because some races are "so impossible" shit lol. For example:

It can be considered as "how 2 decades experience of playing Racing Lagoon looks like" video lol.

Never play this game, but reading this I could remember the passion for that those amazing "new" games, so... thanks for the memories! ::thumbsupwario

i like when a racing game permits to customize many aspects, to build your perfect difficulty level.
Many fail in this, being too easy or too hard after a while, or too much arcade like Climax Moto GP serie (not a bad game, good for who's searching that side)

i had a similar experience in Forza Motorsport 2 on Xbox360, i remember i made my personal custom league, each track included with a determinate AI level of the opponents, different car models and setting, and other finicky options.
It was set to be extra challenging, but doable
