because there's a lot of eva fans who got into it because of Asuka. She's a real jerk but there's fans who like her because they think she's hot. Not into that type of girl myself.

As others have said, it is ultimately interest that drives these projects forward. The only way to break free of others' whims when it comes to fan translations is not needing them (that is, knowing the target language).

I love Eva, but I haven't played a game based off the series that wasn't straight butthole lol. That N64 game is awesome looking but damn it's rough. The typing games are entertaining I suppose lol. I hate NGE fans in that, while i really enjoyed it, the last 2 episodes were total garbage, and one of the worst ways to end a series. I later found out that the studio was having some internal issues with money. The fans of course will swear up and down that these 2 final episodes were great, and that youre not a true fan if you didnt enjoy them, etc etc.
