He may have been poisoned by a jealous husband. There's a legend that he sold his soul to the devil to improve his musical skills. There's a Metalocalypse episode about this.

Leslie Harvey of Stone the Crows died via electrocution on stage.

I didn't know Pigpen from The Grateful Dead died at 27. I also didn't know about Jean-Michel Basquiat

It's really eerie that Jim Morrison's girlfriend Pamela Courson also died at 27 just a few years after Jim.
