Do you guys know any game series that ended in the ps3 generation for example metal gear solid/twisted metal ?

I think these games were discontinued with the Playstation 3: Katamari Forever, Drakengard 3, Lair, Folklore, Resistance Trilogy but I am not entirely sure but now it should be fine these games seem to have been discontinued.

Metal Gear Solid continued into the PS4 with V.

Sounds like it to me.

Here's a few I can think of off the top of my head: Splinter Cell, Burnout (if you exclude the PS4 port of Burnout Paradise), Silent Hill, and F.E.A.R .

MGS didn't die with the PS3...

Sounds like it to me.

Splatterhouse (yeah, the reboot).

Why good riddance?

Also I may add Afterburner as the latest games: Climax and Black Falcon came in the late 00's an never had any new release ever after the mobile port of Climax...

Now I recall, I believe this great saga ended with PS3 too:

The Lost Planet franchise, the last game was EX Troopers on the 3DS and the PS3 ☝️🤓
I lied, it was with 3 in 2013 in the PS3 and 360

– The Driver series.
The last mainline game, Driver: San Francisco, was released in 2011.

– The Jak and Daxter series.
Actually, the last "true" game was Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, released in 2009 for the PSP. However, a compilation called Jak and Daxter Collection was later released for the PS3 in 2012.
