Do you guys know any game series that ended in the ps3 generation for example metal gear solid/twisted metal ?

I think these games were discontinued with the Playstation 3: Katamari Forever, Drakengard 3, Lair, Folklore, Resistance Trilogy but I am not entirely sure but now it should be fine these games seem to have been discontinued.

Sounds like it to me.

Here's a few I can think of off the top of my head: Splinter Cell, Burnout (if you exclude the PS4 port of Burnout Paradise), Silent Hill, and F.E.A.R .

MGS didn't die with the PS3...

Sounds like it to me.

The Lost Planet franchise, the last game was EX Troopers on the 3DS and the PS3 ☝️🤓
I lied, it was with 3 in 2013 in the PS3 and 360

– The Driver series.
The last mainline game, Driver: San Francisco, was released in 2011.

– The Jak and Daxter series.
Actually, the last "true" game was Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, released in 2009 for the PSP. However, a compilation called Jak and Daxter Collection was later released for the PS3 in 2012.
