So I started playing drilldozer, and I am enjoying it so much that I have kind of made a goal to finish atleast 25 gba games by the end of year, because I am that in love with the aesthetics of gba games and also the console at large.
So far these are the must play games on my list, help me expand it:
- Drilldozer (already playing it)
- Hamtaro Ham Ham Heartbreak
- Hamtaro Rainbow Rescue
- Hamtaro Ham Ham Games
- Golden Sun
- Golden Sun The Lost Age
- Crash Bandicoot Purple
- Sypro Orange
- Magical Vacation

Please don't suggest me any mario, Castlevania, zelda, or metroid games because I haven't caught up with some of the previous games in the franchise.

Also, before this, I have played the Max Payne GBA port in 2022 and also the Banjo Kazooi gba game 2023 (the later I didn't finish but plan to someday).

If possible try to suggest some standalone games not part of a franchise like Drilldozer, so it is easy for me to get into it.

Don't suggest me any endless games. I am specifically looking for something I can roll credits on.

Also, goes without saying, nobody knows how my life will go, so chances of being able to finish 25 gba games by the end of the year can be slim, but I would still like to try.

Drilldozer
Shantae Advance
Sigma Star Saga
Boktai
Summon Night
Golden Sun
CT Special Forces
Zoids Legacy

Even if you said no Metroid games you can always play zero mission because is a remake of the original ( trust me you don't want to play the original)

You can play all of the original final fantasy on GBA so that's 6 games and tactics

I’ve recommended them on here before whenever we get a GBA recommendations thread; but I still say:
Onimusha Tactics, Kurukuru Kururin (And its sequel; Kururin Paradise) and Astro Boy Omega Factor as hidden gems for the system that are must plays IMO

I'd definitely recommend the following:

Astro Boy: Omega Factor
Advance Guardian Heroes
Gunstar Super Heroes
Sword of Mana
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (I know you said no Mario, but I'd consider it a spin-off that plays very differently than other Mario titles)
Advance Wars
Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising

DOOM & DOOM 2
Dark Arena
Densetsu no Starfy (English Patched)
Duke Nukem Advance
Ninja Cop/Ninja Five-0
Scurge - Hive
Metal Slug Advance
Megaman Zero 1 & 2 & 3 & 4
Konami Krazy Racers
Klonoa 1 & 2 & Klonoa Heroes (English Patched)
Gunstar Future Heroes
Gradius Advance/Gradius Galaxies/Gradius Generation
Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure
CT Special Forces & CT - Back to Hell & CT - Bioterror
Advance Wars 1 & 2

No matter how much I felt that the game is surely over hyped, it was one of the greatest games in sense of uniqueness and experience. It is also not a very long thing for a turn based RPG. It was truly worth it. I did not really expect it to go through some real deep shit yet do it in kid friendly way.
