How to properly play motion control games on the GBA?

Are there gyroscope/accelerometer gamepads that could be compatible with it? I know MGBA has those sensors built-in yet it may be tricky to bind them to the joystick and L/R triggers since they're not always accurate.

Not sure about GBA but I know Citra (3DS) and Cemu (WiiU) both use the gyroscope in my PS4 controller for those functions and it works quite well.
So I'd imagine its very likely certain GBA emulators can do this too. What game do you have in mind?

The closest I can give you is a phone cuz that’s the one that consistently worked for me, all the way back in 2014.

The last time I tried with a GBA emulator it wouldn't register the gyro.

Unless it was not the right emulator.

The DualShock 4 is the only reliable pad for it?

Okay so Wario Ware Twisted works well now. I could finally do the last level.

Makes me wonder if you can technically use a Wiimote as a gyro for mGBA.
