Help How to Emulate Uncharted 1/2/3?

Only way to emulate PS3 is via RPCS3, only thing you need is very good and expensive cpu

I find it stupid how sony portend Uncharted 4 to pc but never first 3 games, i read they say something about muh GRAPHICS is bad or some shit like that for reason to porting old games

Sony obsession with graphics is truly insane

What CPU is recommended? I have an Intel i7-8700 so I don't know if that's good enough for it

It's as the title suggests, I am thinking of playing Uncharted 1/2/3, but I am wondering what the best way to emulate the games with the best graphics is. So, how should I go about doing that?
Some friends did it with medium powered PCs, but that was years ago so I dunno how they did it, and I have the games on my ps4 so I never bothered to emulate. Do wish you luck however, it’s a goated franchise. U4 is still good if you don’t mind skipping. it comes with the spin-off too and I can vouch that medium hardware can run it. At least on Linux with proton, not sure about windows.

On RPCS3 site it says

CPU
AMD - 6 cores and 12 threads or more
AMD Zen 3 architecture or newer

Intel - 6 cores and 12 threads, 8 cores or more
Intel Comet Lake architecture or newer

I know i can emulate some ps3 games on my i5 but many are laggy, it really depend on a game

I have an Intel i7 and Nvidia 3060 and I can run God of War 3 with no problems.
lol but that's a pretty middle to high end setup for normal people standards.

I have the same card but with an 11th gen i5 and it runs pretty much everything too.

Is it baffling considering that the first 3 games got remasters on PS4 that look great, and since they've already been remade for PS4 it shouldn't have been as difficult to port them vs. porting PS3 games.

Sadly PS4 emulation isn't anywhere near mature enough to run the Uncharted Collection, so your only option is to use the PS3 emulator RPCS3.

That's the point. At the time, Sony wanted you to buy a PS4. Now they don't care, and most likely won't port them to PC. Not saying it can't happen, but it doesn't look good at the moment.

Hell, even PS3 emulation isn't that great unless you have an absolute beast of a PC.
Not saying you can't run it on a medium spec machine, but if you want top-tier emulation you know, for the time being anyway, you need a high-tier PC.

it’s a bit cpu dependent from what I could recall.
There’s a few great vids on it.
There’s also this doujin.

when you test it, take a look at the emulator compatibility page. they put some custom configs there that can help improving performance in the game you're looking for.

the emulator runs good for me with a 6/6 ryzen 3500 (i think the equivalent to it is i5 9400) and a 3050gpu, so you dont need a "beast" like some people are saying. (well, the image will be the original game, most of the time, 720p).

sadly, gran turismo is not compatible.

RPCS3 website/wiki also has recommended settings for games, if that helps.

Latest RPCS3 0.0.37 has latest patches, just create custom game configuration for each game title.

YMMV
