Hi I want some advice how to deal a ps3 hiccups last week I play Red Dead Redemption in the middle of my game then suddenly my tv got statics and no image instead so I rebooted the PS3 and I let on a av for while (my HDMI is fine) but this my secondary time I encountered it my first time is playing Ni no Kuni (which my game is sometimes crash for some reason) so I stop playing it

The question how will I avoid this HDMI hiccup

(And another Advise do you suggest that I installed webman fan this one I was thinking for a long time)

So, when you use AV for a long time you don't get any issue? if you still keep getting black screens it may be the Cell is dying. If not, change HDMI cable and test again. Also, test with another TV with the old HDMI cable. After all these 3 tests, if you still keep having the issue, means PS3 is dying. I hope it's not fat PS3 :(

EDIT: You can also test to reset the PS3 display settings:

Oh the AV is super fine and HDMI is also fine but I got scared to use it again so I switch to AV

I alright with AV but some games needs to be HDMI

My Question how to not HDMI not to static and sudden no image again, alI experience it was two times in big graphics like No no Kuni and Red Dead Redemption.

Could it be a handshake issue? Unlike other consoles, the PS3 HDMI output strictly requires encryption. Even for games, permanent HDCP is enforced.

It started happening to me as well, but not often enough to alarm, just to annoy.

Remarkably, it happens more when emulating PS2 games rather than with PS3 stuff -- some oldies really make it sweat for some reason.
