I’m definitely part of that one survey that concluded that a majority of men think of it at least once a week, and it’s also something that I love asking others because it’s such a weirdly interesting thing.

I definitely did earlier today today when I was humming the Asterix theme song.

I heard they killed a guy with two first names, Jesus Chris? Sounds like a rough crowd, I'd steer clear of 'em.
Sadly true but he resurrected afterwards as they failed to kill Jesus Chris and not all Romans did it some did as they are not a hive mind,as you also have to consider many Romans did spread Christianity afterwards.I am not one for collective punishment. And Besides I am sure Jesus is not one who would want us to hold Grudges either that doesn't mean we forget but it means we don't seek out revenge.
So when even god forgave them who are we to seek out Justice as in the End the final judgment is for God only to make.
So Brother respect the Romans for what they did but also don't forget the wrong they have done,as a Germanic Person I also would have many personal Reasons to hate them but I don't they did a lot of shit but they also did some incredible stuff to.No Society is perfect after all.

Dunno what any of that means, I was talking about Jesus Chris.

Sure
Is it because if the non Religion rule I get it.::winkfelix
I also don't get religious here I just wanted to make that clear here.

Jesus built Rome in 3 days or whatever the scriptures say

Every time I see some cultural problem that shows that could easily be solved within the empire (with me in charge of course)

So every day.

Oh, the ancient Romans.
They certainly knew how to have a good time.

Often enough because I keep asking my self why is there not many games featuring Roman or greek mythological setting or even Historical setting. Especially when it comes to mmo games it always same old high fantasy or Chines mythos.

There was one mmo once I got the chance to play called Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising and I will say it honestly was a fun neat game back in 2011 but sadly it never left closed beta.

But back in early 2005-15 making mmo was rather pointless because majority of people where knee deep in the WoW swamp. I mean they even tied Ys Online The Call of Solum and even Wizardry Online was tried and failed :(

I play a lot of New Vegas and my favorite people to kill are Roman LARPers so a lot. Rocket launcher works good on assassins if you can spot them running towards you in tight formation and they have their favorite ambush points too like near the Follower Safehouse, by a certain bridge, and when you're coming down from the Mojave Outpost. Too low level to fight them? Recruit Boone and just avoid antagonizing the Legion until then.

Not much , i played Rome in age of empires 1 rise of Rome and that was like the only time i really cared about em.

Just spamming dudes with short swords and shields against the Greeks or any other enemy worked all the time.

Of course the word "legion" makes you remember them romans but that's really it i feel like they are a little overrated compared to Persians , Assyria , and Mesopotamia overall

I like documentaries on failed consoles, terrible presidents, foolish monarchs that survived only because of who daddy was, why should empires be no different?
Sure emperor barborossa held it together barely from what i recall i know because i was there taking pictures of his beard

As in the case of Michael Jackson's premature death, I have thoughts like 'What specifically went wrong?', 'What solutions could have been chosen to avoid reaching the point of no return?', 'What can their mistakes teach me and the people around me?'.

I have 600 hours in Attila: Total War and play as the Western Roman Empire.
