Certain games such as SRPGs or Strategy Games unfortunately run slow in that it takes 3-4 minutes for even 1 turn to end and it gets even worse if the game goes on and it starts adding more stuff to the point that even 1 turn may last you 10-minutes.

Sure I can toggle the fastforward function on the respective emulator to speed it up, but I'd like to enjoy playing the game and have a uninterupted experience without constantly toggling FF every turn as it becomes tedious as hell.

...level up more to kill enemies faster?

Some games allow you to turn off attack animations or have a button that interrupts them

you can try adjusting the overall game (emulation) speed in the emulator settings. It will speed up the entire game to above the 100% mark of your choosing. But you know, then the sound is also fast and button inputs can get a bit funny too

Short of disabling extraneous animations there's not much you can do. Sometimes running the game faster than its intended speed can cause problems like crashes, too.

Some games have an in-game fast-forward feature... however, usually it doesn't cover all aspects of the gameplay.

you can also set a controller hotkey to speed up or slow down the emulation speed by increments of 10%

changing games to x2, x3, or x4 speed is usually still playable, especially RPG games
by emulation, make the game as fast as you can handle really.
you can use cheats to increase exp, money, and etc things.
or even... avoid encounters entirely with cheats.
trust me i hate playing games slowly, pokemon games drive me up a wall to where x4 speed is basically always on for me (any faster and it's unplayable lol)
i just beat pokemon red in 2 hours, elite four champion anyways (I had 3 pokemon the entire game)
a lot of games can be made half as annoying by dropping the encounter rate in half, many games usually have cheats like this and you still level up fine usually.

also, and this is kinda silly, try to use moves that don't have long animations, try to use less characters even (FFT this is basically speed run strats, Solo Ramza is very easy actually)
summons, limit breaks, and such things that trigger a long "movie", unless you actually need it, don't use it! (FF7,8,9 have LONG animations)
Disgaea one of my favorite game series, i always solo one unit as soon as possible, less work, less inputs, and enemies can just "come to me"
that's a good strat for a lot of SRPGs, let enemies close to you or lure em, so you don't need to move as much.

also TEXT SPEED, if you can cheat the games text speed faster/instant, it can make ALL the difference.
every SINGLE dragon quest game, pokemon game, and older games, faster text speeds cut SO much time.

and finally, difficulty settings, like, if you don't wanna take longer, why not make it easier.
i actually enjoy FF tactics remaster more on Easy (squire) mode, it's still mostly the same game just taking less damage and doing more (far as i know it's 30% less to you, 30% more to enemies)

also look into mods, rom hacks, and etc, that "balance/fix" a game
breath of fire 1 has the WORST encounter rate i've seen in a game, like 5-6 steps fight, 5 steps, fight...
even on GBA it's like 10 steps (less but still annoying)
i was playing a rom hack with 1/4th encounter rate, it's STILL a fight every 20 seconds of constant movement. like the default is horrible...
