just wondering. nowadays we have hundreds of games at our fingertips, we probably have a handful of favourites. how do you decide which game to play when you're free? i've got so many games halfway played, heck even my persona 5 i bought in 2018 is still left in the last dungeon (the one we go for morgana) lol

I do the virtual equivalent at eenie neanie moe (Pick a random game) and play it, if i get hooked to it, that's what i play, but often i start my console/ handheld with what i want to play already in mind

I just go over the backlog and pick whatever strikes me.

Edit- I guess to kinda sorta deep dive, I don't really like sticking with the same genre. Like, after I finish an RPG I'll play a platformer, or a point-and-click, or a hack and slash. Never the same genre back to back.

Pure instinct. If I was gonna play something and then get a sudden urge to play something else, I will.

Just not sure how I'm gonna explain that to the rest of the participants at the Smash Bros. tournament.

Depends on what I'm in the mood for.
