I mean it only makes all the sense in the world since Metal Sonic was introduced in the mid-credits. He is likely gonna be the main antagonist of the next movie, and how can you possibly go bigger after a Death Egg Robot in Sonic 2 and stopping Space Colony Ark's death ray in Sonic 3? A giant mutated cyborg copy of the main hero is how!!that would be good for sonic 4
The Death Egg seeing how small the Eclipse Cannon was in Sonic Movie 3.I mean it only makes all the sense in the world since Metal Sonic was introduced in the mid-credits. I think Sonic Classic Heroes did it better imo.Better than being slippery. Tails (Fly) isn't suppose to be fast, that's what the Speed characters like Sonic are there for.
You know, I wished they actually made something more akin to Adventure 1 but having any of the 3 in the main story but that would've required a ton more level design in 3D to make Tails less op and Knuckles having his own paths.I think it's one of the more unique 3D entries in the franchise and they should revisit the three characters mechanic.
What I always disliked about the Adventure titles was how the game completely changes once you play as another character and slows down a lot. If they made an Adventure game where we could swap between Sonic, Knuckles and Tails on the fly it would be really awesome, imagine using Sonic to cover long distances, then swapping to Knuckles to climb walls, then to Tails so you could reach distant platforms by flying.
SA1 had the basis for that since Sonic had 10 stages and Hot Shelter was only for the non classic trio ones. They would also be able to have more playable characters without having to create different story campaigns for all of them. With two different campaigns they could have 6 main characters without having to create entirely different stages for each one of them, that would save a lot of development time I think.
Shadow the Hedgehog was unfortunately the spiritual sequel to Heroes with the engine and how you had triangle jump like in this game. They should make a sequel, or at least a spiritual sequel that takes all the good stuff from Heroes while discarding the bad stuff. Imo it would be one of the best 3D Sonic games of all time.
I mean you're not wrong, we absolutely need the Death Egg in ADDITION to Metal Overlord in the next movie! The Death Egg seeing how small the Eclipse Cannon was in Sonic Movie 3.
Ok this is for everyone, which other version of Metal Sonic would you wanna see in Sonic Movie 4? I would like to see Rocket Metal Sonic from Sonic the Fighters.I mean you're not wrong, we absolutely need the Death Egg in ADDITION to Metal Overlord in the next movie!
I had forgotten all about him and did a quick Google search. Looks dope as f**k. I approve!Ok this is for everyone, which other version of Metal Sonic would you wanna see in Sonic Movie 4? I would like to see Rocket Metal Sonic from Sonic the Fighters.
And I hope he gets a transformation sequence that's just as long in the movie, cause it was so freaking funny, they really wanted to show every little nut and bolt getting in place before revealing wtf he was supposed to look like. One word as to why Sonic Heroes ROCKS!!! This guy:

Yeah it was funny AND awesome, and yes I hope they do that again as a nod to the game xDAnd I hope he gets a transformation sequence that's just as long in the movie, cause it was so freaking funny, they really wanted to show every little nut and bolt getting in place before revealing wtf he was supposed to look like.
Neo Metal was just cool as balls!! I mean remember that opening cinematic where he stands atop the Egg Carrier with lightning in the background and his cape flapping in the wind? So.freakin.BADASS!!I also see that Heroes is the closest to Classic Sonic we've gotten since Adventure (two acts levels, the Chaotix, Metal Sonic back from CD and a colourful art design that ditches realism although SA1 had some Saturn-esque levels as well).
I'm still sad that Neo Metal Sonic didn't get a proper boss fight. He should've been the final boss before you got all 7 Chaos Emeralds...

He looks a bit like one you'd see in the comics.
The Advance series was nice with having a final boss before the Chaos Emeralds like in Sonic 3&K, I'm wondering why they didn't stick to that formula.
Agreed. One word as to why Sonic Heroes ROCKS!!! This guy:

My issue is that they wanted to turn Sonic into a beat'em all platformer with the Power formation but I remember how annoyed I was when I played Final Fortress as Team Dark.Okay, I see where you're coming from.
I felt like it Aaaaaaalllllmost got there. Breaks in the pace (because of the swapping) got old for me quick. But the levels are on-point for that style of 3D sonic.
I wonder if Sonic Boom will be appreciated in the future aswell lolMy issue is that they wanted to turn Sonic into a beat'em all platformer with the Power formation but I remember how annoyed I was when I played Final Fortress as Team Dark.
I don't want HP bags, I wanted to see the end of the level.
Thankfully you could sometimes cheese thanks to the janky collisions.
PS: Isn't it funny how after a while some Sonic games, even when poorly received at launch, gets appreciated back (such as Unleashed)? Or even get a period of hate then going back to being appreciated (namely SA1 and 2). Hell, even Sonic 3&K at launch kinda got mitigated reviews from some for being like Sonic 2 gameplay wise and because 3D was introduced the same year.
Sonic Heroes was semi-liked when released, but Sonic Boom Wii U was notI wonder if Sonic Boom will be appreciated in the future aswell lol
The cartoon is appreciated so there's that.I wonder if Sonic Boom will be appreciated in the future aswell lol
Oh yeah, I saw some clips from that show and thought it was pretty nice, not something I'd stop and watch tho.The cartoon is appreciated so there's that.
Now if someone would make efforts creating Sonic Synergy as intended that would be interesting...
But even fangame makers are struggling with X-treme.
yeah pinball sectionI love Heroes, I have it for the PS2 and yeah the pinball section is hell. Even when playing team rose it is hard. But it is fun. Except for the second to last boss that goes backwards and has a shield. I hate that boss. (Team rose is easy mode, and that boss is still a pain in the ass, so hard that I haven't beaten it yet.)
I would absolutely agree, but the homing attack you need to use to bounce between rings can be very temperamental I found....either that or I just couldn't get my head around it. Especially on the canyon level.(I grew up playing the Gamecube version and I understand why people who grew up with the PS2 version would hate this game like spending 10 minutes just trying to get to the exit of the first pinball section in Casino Park is hell.) Love this game like literally one of my favorite games period. Yes this game has glitches and sometimes uncomfortable to play but lets be real if Sonic Heroes had the broken spindash from Sonic Adventure 1 that lets you skip over the janky parts you wouldn't be complaining about Sonic Heroes. Sonic Heroes is essentially if you played Sonic/Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2 and was like "god I wish there was more of this" with a team mechanic. Knuckles Chaotix was kinda the first to do this (I'm not counting the Genesis version of Sonic 3 & Knuckles because you had to use a second controller to use Tails flying to get Sonic to unreachable places) and I bring it up because for some reason people think the team mechanic was "half-baked" in Sonic Heroes (even tho its the first time they implemented the team mechanic in a 3D Sonic game, like the Light Speed Dash wasn't that great in Sonic Adventure 1 so get over yourself) but I feel like people don't know how Sonic Heroes works they just assume how it suppose to work and if they messed up they just blame the game.
