I’ve never looked into SMW hacks very much, because I’ve been deterred by Kaizo stuff (which I love watching, not as much playing) and not being a huge Mario World fan in general.

But on SGDQ 2025 they played a hack called ”A Plumber For All Seasons” which really piqued my interest because it seemed to have REALLY solid production value, and didn’t look impossible.
I haven’t played it yet, but I really want to.

Are there more hacks similar to that? Did I get spoiled rotten instantly for latching on to such a well-presented hack? Who knows, but I’d love to hear your recommendations!

There are so many hacks like that nowadays, it's not even funny.

I could compile a small 7z of them and send it to you if you like.

I can't possibly remember them all with my short-term memory, but I have a butt-ton of them on my phone. ::biggrin

this is so far the best one ive played

I'm not super familiar with the SMW hacking scene, but I can recommend 100 Rooms of Enemies. As the name suggests it's essentially 100... I guess you'd call it combat puzzles. Quite good and to the point!

(Just grabbed the first video I found without checking, hope this doesn't turn out to be something horrible)

Thanks for the recommendations everyone! Sure were way more than I anticipated so I'll definitely have my hands full whenever I feel a hankering for SMW::terriermon-happy

Is this you? Your hair rocks! ::fire

thank you :3

Last standard thing I played (~3 months ago or something) was Mob Mario cus the jp smw community had just released a hack clearly resembling that one (Essex, which is also good lol)... isn't newcomer-friendly, but if you want to play that in 2025 you'll have to use inaccuracy compatibility modes on snes9x and the like.
