Hidden PS1 "Gems" That Should Stay Hidden

Bushido Blade
Combat gets a bit boring after a couple of minutes of gameplay.

I dunno, this? They say it's Cursed or something... ::nervous-prinny

There are these 2 survival horrors I have yet to pain. OverBlood and OverBlood 2:

Looks like they have some good parts but they are super bugged and they are pretty terrible most of the time.

They're not super bugged at all.

The first game is more of straight adventure game, there's literally 3 or 4 fights in the whole game. It's not horrible if you like the genre (ie just exploring the lab and solving puzzles to advance) but it's maybe a 6/10, nothing amazing either. There's a few parts with sudden instant deaths if you mess up, so if that's a dealbreaker don't play it.

The second game is completely different and is not survival horror at all. It was the first game made by the future founder of Level 5 and was very ambitious for the PS1. I like the gameplay parts a lot - it's action-adventure gameplay but it's really, really focused on exploring large 3D areas in peace, with just a bit of fighting sometimes and few puzzles. So some might find it boring, but I really found it refreshing. There are also town sections in between the levels/missions, which are kind of FF7-inspired. Think Midgard-style cyberpunk. The big problem with this game is that there's a solid 20 minutes of spoken dialogue between each mission where they keep repeating themselves. The story isn't bad in concept but it's really badly told - just people sitting around a table talking on and on and on about what they're gonna do next and how.

Also it's a PAL release so it plays slower than it's supposed to (50 "fps" instead of 60). So if you play it in Duckstation, set it to forced 60fps. Personally I like the second game, but it's legitimately hard to sit through the story parts.
