I gotta say I prefer forums over reddit or tiktok just much more chill and less negative than whatever my generation loves to consume which mostly is irony and a hell lot of irony and it can be tiring to deal with.

Well I guess he can keep me company hearing my yelling about chemistry and physics I hope he doesn't die out of boredom tho.

Imho they have different functions, Reddit is pretty good for searching information about a lot of different things, but for actual interactions I prefer forums too. Reddit has a lot of users and is generally moderated worse than forums, which have a lot less users and mods are often pretty active in their communities. Haven't used TikTok because I'm not the biggest fan of shorts but I think they can be good to explain stuff in a short amount of time.

I was super interested in science when I was 4/5 but over time technology replaced it as a hobby, although I'm getting interested again lately, the main thing that interests me is hormones and the effects they have on the human body, which has a lot in common with chemistry lol

I didn't find much of a use for reddit infact I hardly found a use for social media only platforms I used were Facebook , discord and whatsapp for tiktok I dislike the shorts mostly due to them being just...crap most of the time whether its information or other things usually present the subject or topic in a poor way , proper information and such can't be explained in 30 seconds in my opinion.

Yeah science is interesting I think you mean biology with that all the hormones I passed it last semester and im glad I no longer have to memorize The DNA and the enzymes responsible for its creation , or the metabolism and Photosynthesis genetics its interesting to learn about But the way education work is just memorize these to pass feels like the love and care for the subject isn't that important just get grade and move on

Honestly yeah, proper information can't be explained in 30 seconds. At least it can help people get interested in the subject enough to look for proper information though.

Yeah, that's why if I really am interested in something I'm studying it by myself instead of studying it at school or college. Academic education is more important to get a good job than to actually educate yourself on a subject imho.
