Huh, I had no idea. Then again, it only happened in 2025 for some reason. Copyright really shouldn't last THIS long.

Also, Nintendo did make a Popeye game. About a year or two after Donkey Kong. I guess DK's success made King Features Syndicate more willing to grant them a license.

It's pretty mediocre overall and SEGA considers it a failure.

Played some, minigames are more varied than Fall Guys, game is fine for free, but if you really want the meat, your pocket will need to make some donations

It's inspired by TF2Ware but you're absolutely right.

It's a cousin removed since SRB2 uses a modified Doom Legacy fork and Valve used another id Software engine so they're part of the same genealogy.

I like id Soft and Valve's philosophy of allowing the games to be very modular. Nowadays it's harder to mod AAA games (or without compromises).

Quake gave us Team Fortress, Half-Life gave us Counter-Strike, Half-Life² gave us Portal and Left 4 Dead alongside the successor of TF and CS.

Garry did a nice job as well with an even more modular mod. Big shame that S&Box doesn't have that same feel.

SRB2 is a godsent.
