(Besides Chun-Li)
Today I’m sleepy, and work is busy, so it’s the perfect day.

And you’re asking such a tough question! If I had to choose, it would be Seras from Hellsing. She’s strong and beautiful.

Which Street Fighter game is your favorite in the series? If it's 2, what's your second favorite?
Probably SF4, the first one I really got into.
Though Chun-Li wasn’t my main, haha.

What's your favorite thing to have for dinner?
I haven't had it in a while, but sukiyaki!

Would you rather chew a piece of toenail off of Zangief’s foot, or thoroughly lick his unshowered armpit?
I'll bite off Zangief's fuckin’ nipples.::angrygenjin

What consoles or computer games did you grew up with?

What is your favorite game ever?

The first gaming console I ever owned was a Game Boy Color, and I was a huge fan of the Medarot series. When I played with friends, our go-to games on the N64 were Super Smash Bros., Custom Robo, and Mario Party.

It’s really hard to choose a favorite game. I have a lot of favorites, like Street Fighter, Romancing SaGa 3, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Hotline Miami, and Skyrim, but if I had to pick the best one, it would be Shin Megami Tensei If…!

If you haven’t played it yet, I highly recommend it. It’s often considered the origin of the Persona series. Compared to other games, the story is smaller in scale and not as deep, but I absolutely love it and have played through it multiple times.

I turned 30 this year!
My brain is about the size of an 8 year old though.::cirnoshrug
Hey we're almost the same age! I'll turn 29 in a few months.
How did you get into retro games? Anyone I talk to in our age group here in Japan seems to only play mobile games.

What a surprise! Having the same hobbies and being from the same generation—what could be better?

As for how I got into retro games… I can’t really say. I’ve always loved games, so I naturally played both old and new ones without making a distinction.

Also, I used to watch Game Center CX, so I think Chief Arino is one of the reasons I love retro games too!

Shin Megami Tensei If
I haven't played many Megami Tensei games, but I am currently playing Last Bible on the Game Boy. Have you played it?
I'm planning to play 旧約 soon.

I have always felt the same way

I love Game Center CX! I went to the anniversary event at Saitama Super Arena. Do you still watch the show?

Why and how did you learn English? At what age? What made you interested in interacting in English websites?

What's your favorite anime?
Where did your love for Chun-Li start?

I haven’t played Last Bible either! That’s a pretty unique choice. I’ll give it a try sometime too.
旧約 is really great! Its price on the secondhand market has gone up before I even realized it, so it’s one of those games I’d love to get with the original box while I still can.

It’s seriously so much fun!
I haven’t watched the recent episodes at all, but I sometimes go back and rewatch the old ones. I really liked the Ninja Gaiden episode!
Why and how did you learn English? At what age? What made you interested in interacting in English websites?
I decided to start learning English after joining RGT, so that means I started at 30! :loldog
In the past, I used to play games with English-speaking players and played games that were never translated into Japanese, so I could pick up the general nuances. But I was never able to form sentences myself.

That’s why I’m currently learning English while interacting with everyone here. Most of the messages I write are actually translated by ChatGPT, so my wording might sound a little weird sometimes. But my goal is to be able to have conversations with everyone on my own one day!

The reason I joined an English forum is simple—I love foreign anime, music, and TV shows, and I’m also really interested in cultures and perspectives outside of Japan. Of course, I also love games!

Thanks to everyone at RGT, I’ve discovered a lot of cool music and had the chance to experience different cultures, so it’s been an amazing experience!

Really? Wow, I thought you made your own sentences lol! English is pretty easy compared to Japanese imho, but that's probably just because I'm used to western languages ?
I'm studying Japanese and grammar-wise English is harder imho, Japanese grammar is super easy lol, Kanji are pretty difficult though.

Pretty great! I wasn't born in an English speaking country either (although I started learning English at 4 lol) so I know how valuable knowing English and getting perspectives outside of your home country is. Good luck on your English learning adventure! It's been an amazing experience for me too!

That’s adorable. I’m super happy for you and happy to have met you, and it is a tremendous privilege to make a friendship with someone from Japan. You seem like a friendly person and it’s awesome hearing from you. I’m happy language barrier hasn’t stopped us from interacting haha! I can only pray chatgpt isn’t translating these messages to awkward Japanese. I know how tricky plural and pronouns can be when converted from English to Japanese.

Anyways, nice having ya!

Ah shucks beat me to the punch, which is good cuz it means I can ask a different question! …. Once I come up with it !
The next question you’re thinking of is probably about my butt, right?

I’m too shy to post a picture, but I can tell you—it’s a very cute one!
What's your favorite anime?
Where did your love for Chun-Li start?
My favorite anime are HELLSING, Dorohedoro, Kill la Kill, Shigurui, the Gundam series, and Batman. I like a lot of different ones, but The Idolmaster is my absolute favorite!

I’ve always liked Chun-Li, but after Street Fighter V, she became my main character, and my love for her skyrocketed. I’ve been collecting merch and clothing, but I never have enough money.::frown

Even loose copies are becoming expensive. I had to buy it recently before it becomes too expensive.
Do you collect?
games that were never translated into Japanese
Like what?

Are you secretly a JAV idol? I will look forward to your Thanksgiving video.

1) What is your first name (if you want to say it)?
2) Are you studying or working?
3) Do you practice any sports, martial arts or meditation?
4) Do you prefer modern 3D games or older 2D (16bit) ones?
5) Were you born in Japan or did you move there from another country?
6) Are you good at science or literature?
7) Which Japanese historical figure do you admire the most?

Everyone says English is easy, but it's so different from Japanese that it's really difficult. Maybe it's just me, though. lol
Kanji has multiple readings, so it can be tough, right? Even Japanese people often make mistakes.
Ruri, you're aiming to move to Japan, right? Someone as smart as you can definitely make it happen!
If you come to Japan, I'll treat you to some delicious food! Good luck!

You're such a kind and wonderful person too! I'm really glad I got to meet you!
It might sound strange coming from someone who relies on translation, but in this day and age, language isn't such a big barrier anymore.
Still, I feel frustrated that I can't fully understand the slang and jokes you use, so I want to be able to have conversations on my own as soon as possible!

Even loose copies are becoming expensive. I had to buy it recently before it becomes too expensive.
Do you collect?
I used to collect them a lot, but after having a daughter, I haven’t been buying as much.
Games have also become quite expensive.
I want to collect Mega Drive and Super Famicom games, but I only have a few on hand.
Like what?
PAYDAY and Shadowrun before the translation patches, as well as many old PC games, didn't have translations.
Are there more translation patches available for them now?
Are you secretly a JAV idol? I will look forward to your Thanksgiving video.
Actually, I am Ai Uehara.
