Help with Diablo + Hellfire

Just got it to experience the original Diablo with some bonuses and this is all I get in game. I'm thinking an issue with wine/DirectX 9.0. Any idea how to fix this?? I'm just trying to run in 1280x1024@75hz. This is just an OBS screen recording of what I get; don't know how well it's shown. The screen only updates to what my mouse is over with artifacting.

I can't see the video, sadly, but what I'd do is trying to install a different version of Wine and trying that, first. The name escapes me now, but there's a custom build that has great support, in my limited experience. I'll look it up for you.

I agree with the others, Deviloution X is what you want, iirc you only really need the Diabat.MPQ file+the relevant MPQ files for hellfire.

No, the original PlayStation version of Diablo does not include the Hellfire expansion.

I also wouldn't personally say it's just as good. It's playable, and pretty impressive given the PS1's limits, but it's rather clunky and needs to pause the game to do inventory stuff which dramatically changes the feel and tension.

Local co-op was rad though.
