hi i opened up retroarch being updated to 1.21.0 and all of the sudden import content tab is gone. Is there something wrong with it? Is there a different way to add games?

It got moved to Main Menu > Playlists > Import Content

There is also a setting in Settings > User Interface > Menu Item Visibility > Show 'Import Content'
to change the location to Main Menu > Import Content

Doesn't look like it can be added to the sidebar again.

Retroarch is a trash heap of constant problems. It's what convinced me to make the jump to fpga emulation. No issues since.

Crap like this is why I am eternally gun-shy on updating nearly everything in my life. If it's functioning. I'm fine. It's never just a security update or something..

Ironically, Retroarch always backs up any core before updating (and there's no mandatory update). So it's one of the easiest programs I have used to roll back when having an issue updating.

Generally you just ask a mod/issue a report, but hey, glad you got it sorted!
