There was a coin-op machine which i used to play at a fish and chip shop when i was young, but for the years i have been trying to find it, i never have.

The only memories of this are of a barbarian holding an axe to his side, the top of the axe had a blue flame which would change color with power up.

The last boss was a sorcerer with a baled head and blue robe, and the hidden final boss was a nest of Aliens from the move Alien, with you fighting a queen at the end.

The end credits followed the barbarian posing with arms out, who came in to view slowly from right to left, looking at the distance to a sun set as the credits rolled.

I can only remember this much from playing it so much, but i feel shame that i cannot think of the name!

Does any one know this game? Or will it be lost to time and perhaps my insanity.

It ain't Rastan or Nastar is it?

That would be The Lord of King (or Astyanax in the West)

You absolute champion! this is it, my god, you got that so fast! You are a blessing from the above!

It has been years, years since i played this!! T_T

Thank you so much to you and to all who answered!

On a side note, why is this game not so well known that i could not find this?

I remember the NES Astyanax as being a compelling-enough 2D plat (reminding me of TG-16/PC Engine's 'The Legendary Axe' n maybe it's mildly underwhelming sequel as well)... but I also remember lots of close-to-mandatory cheap hits as the char is somewhat large for an 8-bit protagonist (but not Sword of Sodan large lol)
