I'm at disc 2 now. I was able to play a lot this week. ::sailor-embarrassed
I've been distracted by MGS3 Extreme playthrough. Just crossed the wall past the End of the World. Roughly how much longer do I have til disc 2?

Really depends on how you play, but I would say a good 4 hours at least?? Maybe even more, I didn't pay too much attention to the time.

Tales of Destiny
Real-time battles with a cast of interesting characters to play as.

my little sister beat Grandia on her save file before i could
she had better healing magic and i had neglected all my defensive/earth skills
last year i gave her a miyoo mini with Grandia on it for Xmas and she beat it again! XD

I'm in Alent right now. To be continued. ::raymanknows
Well done, you progressed as much in a few days than I did in months, back in the day! 😁

How about Blue Dragon ?
Playing it right now and its good stuff .
I love it too. And I have fond memories for the French version: the dubs are mediocre but you can't forget them!

Not bad for my second JRPG ::winkfelix I finally defeated the final boss. That mofo wouldn't die. Here is what I think of the game since u asked:

Story wise the game was a lot of fun. I was genuinely curious about the plot throughout, though I’ll admit I rushed a bit toward the end. It started to feel a little generic at that point, but overall it remained enjoyable thanks to the fun characters. I found the main character a bit annoying and cliché though (sorry Justin fans!).

Gameplay wise it was definitely fun and I’m really glad it got picked. The difficulty felt just right for my second JRPG. The game provides a good balance of recovery and save points, which kept things manageable. The only things I didn’t like was the lack of a proper tutorial, and maybe a way to organize your items better. Thankfully, the manual was super helpful, plus the ingame hints did a decent job of making up for it.

Man, I almost gave up 2 times because I thought I used my magic wrong! I was not feeling like starting over, and luckily it wasn't needed.

Well done! And yes, it's perfectly balanced, given its age. The skills and spells progress is quite addictive. And of course, Justin is a bit cliché and this is why we love him so much. And Feena of course. And Sue!

I forgot to mention that I really loved the battle system once I got the hang of it. The cutscenes were beautiful and, in my opinion, have aged remarkably well. Gaia was absolutely petrifying (pun intended).

The Justin fandom will remember this...

I'm about 2/3rds through Grandia myself and enjoying it. I've beaten it before but it's been over 20 years so a lot of this feels new to me
