Help me choose my next JRPG

I know you're still on PS1 RPGs, but Grandia 2 is worth getting to eventually. I don't like the 3D character models as much as the sprite art from the first, but the game has that mid 90s anime fantasy vibe that makes you feel like you're watching some Tenchi Muyo or Rayearth type stuff on VHS. The gameplay is super addicting and Ryudo, the main character, is a funny douchebag.

I'm about 2/3rds through Grandia myself and enjoying it. I've beaten it before but it's been over 20 years so a lot of this feels new to me
