yeah, it is quite bizarre for that to have happened. for every mario game, you get 10 ninjabreadman games. for every pokemon game, you get 5 knockoffs of brain age or deal or no deal.
i guess someone at nintendo saw how much potential money there was to make on letting any random game studio or company make a game for their systems.

There's also the fact they're like "family" systems so it's supposed tto appeal to your little kids as much as it appeals to your beer drinking football hooligan dad n that kinda thing so having a bunch of shit like "Kitchen Nightmares: The Videogame" really is the best way to ensure that.
I spent like 10 minutes looking for a game a streamer I like played that was awful but had a Wii shovelware slop vibe to it only to find it out was a PS2/PC game </3
