Show us your picks of Arcades that are still around where you live.

Pachinko and slot machines do not count!

There is a bar near me that has a couple machines and pinball games in it. I visit every once in a while and play their stuff. They have Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike and I have the high score as Chun-Li on it. When if finally die, that machine will still have that score up there. Not because I did exceptionally well, but because no one goes to the bar to play arcade games.

I have vivid memories of huge arcades prevalent virtually everywhere in the early 80's till the early 00's. tbh I'm not sure if it wiLL make me happy or sad to try to find pics of previously frequented arcades. I'm sure there are arcades around here but I used to drink n do other shit at arcades in the mid-90's-early 00's.... I would have fun in all likelihood but I kinda wanna stay outta trouble... especially when hyperactivity/mania push compulsive tendencies n previous self-medicating at arcades so often is a mode that would be tough to potentiaLLy avoid.

*sigh*

Great thread idea, though! don't mind my dilemmas, I had 2 n a half decades of arcade history strongly in my life n I'm grateful eternaLLy for that

3rd Strike is obv one of the greatest arcade/home fighters ever but I do enjoy 2nd Impact on occasion cuz of it's superior char balance. that's badass af that they have that cabinet near you \m/

I was hoping to bring joy that the machines of our youth where still alive. But you shared a reality of the world of 2025! and now i am sad!

the only sad thing is when clinical depression takes me down a notch n revives old insecurities n regrets-already-made-peace-with

otherwise this is joyous n so are most of my memories n already my recent memories at this miraculous forum. between here n my main discord chat n IRL friends I've had for decades - even though I wiLL always stand-out like a bag of sore thumbs - I feel like I'm with the closest possible thing to 'my people' any damn weys.

fuck negativity n bless you for makin a <3 - fiLLed thread like this to join the many of like-minded gamers who make me feel a veritable tsunami of hope. if you look up the imaginary-but-still-oft-used word 'badassery' it's a pic that somehow has every one of y'aLLs in it.

MUSHY MUSHHHHHHHH xD \m/ keep it on n poppin aLL dae ehh-dae yuuze mavericks n mavens \m/ *mwahh* ewwww xD /j

Happy to help if and when i can. Life does have it's challenges for sure, and gaming for me was always the thing that kept me going back in the day.

I by no means meant to bring back and negative memories! I am sorry if this is what i did.

With gaming, considering the state of things in 2025, it is all about focusing on what positives are left for me, and the like minded such as yourself. This forum is one of the last bastions of hope for me. To much predatory crud going on, to much exploitative stuff going on, so some place some where has to be positive. Thank for you also, and to spike and all those who run this forum!
