I used to emulate them. The same company made several other RPGs in the same format. Wolfenstein RPG and Orcs and Elves 1 and 2.
Orcs and Elves is available on DS, which (IMO) is the best way to play it.

I played the second one in uhhhhh.... high school? I think? I got it after I jailbroke an iPod touch 4 I got for christmas. It was pretty sad that it was never revived/kept up for modern systems. I had a lot of fun with it. The closest thing we got later on (imo) was called 'Dead Shell', and its more like a roguelike than a straight up like, rpg like doom rpg was. Thinking about Doom RPG really brought me back tho haha

I have always heard that Doom RPG was what Quake was originally supposed to be, before Carmack decided that innovation should be kept at the code level.

I liked Orcs and Elves, I think, i didnt play the mobile version, but I played the DS version a lot. I think it would have been neat to have a more updated version of it. I don't think it would do well, but it would be neat.

Played the sequel on Iphone back when it came out really fun game i really like the style it does a good job at combining classic doom with doom 3
