Freshman year my algebra teacher failed me due to suspicions of cheating on tests. I was a stubborn, lazy kid who just didn't ever show work on tests and I almost never did homework. I did well on tests but was consistently docked points for not showing work, which he typically counted as about 25-33% of the points on a given question. I could have just buckled down and spent the time to write things out, but I never did. I had a C- going into the final and he ended up outright failing me as I was the 2nd or 3rd person done and I once again did not show my process on solving anything. I was super lucky to get a nice summer school teacher that let me test out of the class after a month when she realized I definitely did not need any of this.
For the month that I was in there though it was pretty fun. I was fortunate enough to have a friend that landed in the same summer school course and one that took a separate course at the same time. During breaks and after school we'd just hang out, so it felt more like an couple hours of mildly boring classroom nonsense followed by a day full of playing Phantasy Star Portable and Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker together. It was actually how I was introduced to MGS! I was also fortunate to have parents that weren't home much so while they were furious with me when I was home, I wasn't home much. Even when I was, I would typically just avoid them and play games in my room anyways.
I also went to a summer driving school class the summer of junior year. My dumbass hadn't signed up for a driving class during the school year and instead of just having me do it during my senior year, my mom insisted that I take a summer course. Truthfully, I was just terrified of driving at the time and was trying to put it off as long as I possibly could. I had a couple acquaintances in that class but no one I was super close with, so it ended up being pretty drab by comparison. I'd still hang with a couple of the peeps after school, but they were really into each other so it always got really awkward when they'd inevitably get weird. The kicker is that they were both already dating other people and constantly asked me to validate them essentially cheating with one another. All I could ever do is shrug and tell them to break up with their current partners. Man, teenagers are so silly...
That said, I definitely don't encourage it if you have the opportunity. Study for your finals and just get whatever grade you'd need to not land that F. You got this! If it does happen it isn't the end of the world, you can totally bounce back and learn from your mistakes.
