Has anyone tried this other translation of Saru Getchu (Ape Escape) Million Monkeys?

There's another English patch besides the 72% complete one by hypermegacrash. It has to be built in Linux or a Linux virtual machine, though, and it sounds like it could take HOURS () in virtual machine. I don't have the means to build it myself, so I'm curious if anyone has tried it.
