I wouldn't know where to post this, nor do I know who this post would be interesting for, but... here it goes:
I'm very happy to have had the opportunity to interact with you all here on the forum this year.
We had great updates and great events (including "The Return of The King - CDRomance").
I feel a little unfair in mentioning some contributions, as I don't debate much on the forum, so I won't be able to talk about the great moments you experienced. [Just skip to the end if you don't want to read about some of the positive experiences I've observed.]
That being said, personally, there were and I witnessed many special posts for which I am grateful.
I was able to follow RageBurner's efforts a bit more closely; he always strives to keep the forum updated, equally polite and cautious, but always friendly.
We had the great update of Final Fantasy VII Survivor and Reborn, with Kaisenran and CAulin, respectively, bringing new approaches to the classic FFVII (the first in the series I played and loved by many).
We witnessed the care and constant improvement with which Shadow501 worked on Suikoden II - The Oath and Suikoden - The Last Hope, allowing us to relive new stories from these other great classics.
We experienced the advancement of the great and remarkable "Ivalice Chronicles" for PSX, which is FFT The Lion War ReMixed v1.2 (beta), now in version 1.2.54, a project that has brought innovative ideas and quality-of-life updates. This hack has been very successful and closely followed by LastValsion and RageBurner.
I noticed the progress of several patches in languages other than English, which I consider something to celebrate greatly because it broadens access to so many good works for so many people who have some difficulty reading in that language.
In particular, Viviana Santos' efforts have brought us excellent translations into Brazilian Portuguese, for which I am grateful.
That's all without mentioning the countless Mega Man updates that have appeared here. It was through "Blue Bomber" that I came to the forum, so they are quite special to me.
I never had the opportunity to speak with Spike, but I was moved by what he wrote when CDRomance returned... I would be one of those who, without the site, would never have started playing hacks or, most likely, would have developed an aversion to them because of some toxic attitudes that can be seen in some places. Thank you very much, Spike, for your effort along with the whole team to maintain this site.
Well... if anyone has read this far, besides thanking you for your attention, I'd like to know what stood out to you this year here on the forum. Could you tell me?
I basically only talked about the PSX, a few games (but very memorable for me), and every time someone writes something here it can be a nostalgic opportunity.
In short... have a wonderful holiday season. Make these moments restful or memorable.
For those who may have already suffered during this period or even have some trauma... if you can't get professional help, take advantage of the benefits of this community. A special hack for you and a moment of rest might bring a beautiful smile, who knows.
Best regards to all.
