While the series began as a collection of storybooks in 1997, the hit anime aeries began in Japan July 7th, 2000. The US Dub would been out in the US two years after on June 4th, 2002. The series lasted for six years with 296 episodes, 4 movies and 4 OVAs, while the US Dub sadly lasted with 104 episodes. We all know about the series by watching it on Toonami, playing the video games by Nintendo and even getting the Halloween toys from Burger King.

From the anime series, to toys, to video games, Hamtaro was a cute anime with fun adventures lovable characters, and great animation handled by TMS. Sure, it was meant for little kids, but when I was 12 when it aired on Cartoon Network back in 2002 and I did not care who the target audience was for, as long as I like the animation and have a wonderful time.

What were your favorite moments and memories growing up with the Hamtaro series from the past 25 years?

Happy birthday Hamtaro ::fire
I LOVED that one GBC game where you explored and collected emotes to find your friends, Ham Ham Unite I think it was called? Remember playing it for an entire summer with a friend.
Great times, and great graphics for a GBC game!

There's a good friend of mine who was obsessed with this series when they were a kid. They used to frequent a Hamtaro fan forum and they made a few hamtaro videos. I didn't have internet at home until I was about 15 in 2013 so it makes me wish I had been able to be part of silly internet fandoms like that lol.

First time I saw Hamtaro was on a newspaper announcing its debut when I was 7. I never forgot that moment. And I got all hyped up because I was into hamsters and kawaii stuff.

When I was a kid, I got a hamster and named him Hamtaro. He was white and grey though, so he kinda looked more like Dexter. Sadly, he only lasted about three days, didn’t even make it to the first adventure

That means if Laura was real she's be in her mid 30s or so. She's also probably would've gone through about 10 other hamsters by now.
