EDIT: Like, I know Halo Studios screwed up with their handling of the Reclaimer Saga and Infinite. But Bungie in their current form aren't much better.

'Campaign Evolved' is such an atrocious name, good lord. There's apparently some gameplay changes on top of being fully rebuilt in UE5; I guess sprinting is in from what I've seen, they really hammered home in the round table developer video about how you can use the energy sword in this one (you couldn't in OG CE) which is a little odd considering you can use it in literally every other game but CE. They haven't shown anything off really of the Flood save for some concept renders in that round table video, makes me think they have something planned there maybe.

Also, in that video they say the line "we're excited for players to relieve these experiences again for the first time" despite this being the third version of this same game. Again, the Master Chief collection already exists.

As much as i want to fanboy over this being an old school fan...i agree.
i'm not interested in this project in the slightest, it's something about the whole UE overhaul. Not digging the artistic fingerprint, it just feels off, I still much prefer the original.
Sadly all this reveal did for me was reconfirm the continual decline of modern gaming & lack of innovation and creativity in the industry.
However with all that said....I do also somewhat respect the idea in some ways & a whole new generation gets to play Halo, so that's always a positive thing, i like to believe it will be a fine enough remake too.

Me buys as a Xbox360 to play Halo for the first time in my live...Sony releases Halo for the Playstation right after I bought it my Reaction:

Be not like me also is it only Ps5 or Ps4 if it it not on Ps4 and only the Dust Collector than I at least did not make a wrong decision buying a Xbox360 for it. (Also I don't regret buying the Xbox360 as this console slaps it has some Awesome games on it no Online Multiplayer for me though as I don't pay for Online functions.And I only have Halo 1 as for now and I mean the OG Version from the OG XBOX so I need to get the other Halo games sooner or later primarily Halo Reach that I want)

Yeah it's really a 'BUNGIE, HIRE THIS MAN' looking vibe that you used to see all over YouTube with those old 'Mario in Unreal' videos. It looks so soulless, just like the Ninja Gaiden 2 Unreal remake and MGS: Delta. I can't deny the engine is technically impressive, but I've yet to really see a game using it that tries something new in terms of art direction and style.

Personally, I really think they should have done a Halo 2 or Reach remake instead. 2 I think is probably the most fondly remembered game in the series and was also famously a mess and half finished, that would have been sick to see fully realized and given a face lift like this. Reach also could have worked given it's a prequel to the whole thing and not many casual players likely know much about it. Basically, anything but another Halo CE remake. Thanks, 343.

Yeah that's true, I suppose this is likely the launching point for a whole Capcom style remake series. It is 343 though so I'm guessing they'll mess it up somehow, like by skipping ODST entirely or never doing Reach.
