.hack Memories

.Hack//SIGN i enjoyed a lot. Legend of The Twilight was a little weird. Tried to watch ROOTS but my neighbor set our shared duplex house on fire at the time so i never got around to it again. ^^'

.hack is great. I own all of the games physical, bought a ton of the trading cards and shit too

I do I own all 7 games on PS2. What pisses me of G.U got remastered for PC/PS4 but the original 4 is forgotten or just ignored.
i had the 2nd or 3rd one but it was the European version with the blue case. I couldn't play it because I live in the US and my PS2 was NTSC. I got the game when i was on vacation with my family in Italy. I later traded it in at The Exchange just because I had no way of playing it at the time. I didn't get a lot of money for it either. But it's not there anymore so i assume someone bought it.

As a long time fan since day one.
No.
Let it remain dead.

Lest they bring it back and fuck it up.
We had a nice thing, it had some endings. Ive seen what Bamco can do, I would rather let Sleeping Dogs lie.

Oh yeah I got all the games from Kite to Haseo I love this series so much is my top five favorite rpg series especially the GU series.

Man that´s kind of sad. But yeah I have all 7 and im glad I got them back in the day becuse today the third and 4th game sales fround around 100-120bucks. Hence why I wish they got the same treatment as G.U did. It would be simpler for more people to get acess to the game and at a more fair price.

And I mean who knows maybe they reach more and new players if they are on Steam/PS5 and such meaning if they become popular maybe we can get a new game in the series or maybe we can get .hack//Versus or maybe a new .hack//frägment which i doubt as it was an online game.

been replaying it in JP this time
on vol.3 but haven't gotten back to it since i came back from singapore
focusing on finishing watching FMA right now but i'll get back to .hack after (hopefully 🥹)

the og .hack//SIGN is so fucking good actually, i rewatched it few years ago and it was pretty damn good, so unlike my experience when it aired on animax back when i was a kid

i miss .hack
it really shaped my childhood
i ain't a fan of evangelion but i super love the character designs the artist made for .hack
you just won't be able to find something that unique and flavourful nowadays

i hope it makes a comeback, but C.C. Corp doesn't want to bring it back cos Naruto games are bringing in them more money 😩

I remember bought a .hack game on my PS2 because there is character creation but the game was so bad I threw it out of my window. Game was empty, gameplay was empty, gamemap was empty, quests were empty, characters were empty. I was like "what's the deal of this series IDK" lol. It was the only and last .hack game I played. Even its graphics were so bad comparing to other games, IDK they intentionally made the graphics so bad to fit into "MMO experience" or something.

Honestly its real online experience may be valuable for playing with friends or the sense of NPCs are like "real people" playing the fictional MMO but it didn't click with me. Around the time there was another game called Kaido Racer 1 had the similar "social network" sense that you read messages of NPCs and all so this fictional social system felt better even on Kaido Racer 1 lol. And then IMO best game had the "fictional MMO you enjoy with NPCs like they are real people" sense was Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet. Is this the best ".hack" game that's actually not a .hack game? lol

I have been playing through the first 4 .hack games over the past year, its fun but man do they get grindy.

I started with //sign and really liked it. The dialogue and stuff it deals with is a cut above most anime, and the kaijura soundtrack goes hard. I will say that in terms of cinematography it is pretty boring, but whatever.

great anime and games but I wish for them to not be revived at this point tbh. nobody at CC corp or Namco has even a SLIVER of the talent necessary to create a character named ω rice who everyone on the fake internet keeps calling butt rice.

Honestly, I did not think I would agree with this take, but I do. CC corp should just stick to their (fantastic frankly) furry games.

speaking of that, apparently the TCG had a table at anthrocon. Kind of interesting to see .hack adopted by furries because of CC's recent stuff. Has anyone actually played the TCG? Any good?

back in the day i only had the last game of G.U. but i thought it was really sick. i remember thinking azure kite was so cool, then i went and found out about the original 1-4 and now i think it's even cooler. the .hack 1-4 don't have incredible gameplay, but they're really carried by the atmosphere. i love the whole series overall, need to get around to watching the shows one of these days.
