man this game is really fun and simple, plus not to mention its aesthetic AF.

but only TWO HOURS?! talk about short and sweet. definitely give it a go for a late evening.

First game is so cool but it's frame rate was terrible to the point where I'd describe it as bearly playable. The sequel went for a mega man legend style of graphics I personally don't like the style change but the trade of is that the game actually runs at a playable frame rate.

Game? What game man. I say that because I thought it was just an anime back when this was new.
I never finished the anime then, and I missed out on many of the popular games for the PS2 at the time, (unless you count Dirge of Cerberus and Bujingai) since I spent most of my time chatting with friends, listening to visual kei, and watching anime. On a side note I have heard tell this game is quite good.

I played this one recently too, a few months back I believe. Very fun game, the style is actually so pristine and perfect.

I can also never get enough of it's art and music. Ear Fudge is a spectacular jazz track.

And the art for this game ... Holy it's just one of a kind.

ikr? i really enjoyed this song. it really set the tone for in between stages, talking to mika and dr. t felt really cozy.

also i just think that the game's graphics aged really well. maybe do the great art direction.

Right! Here Comes the Rain is such a superb song, and I love how it plays over a radio with all that added fuzz in that section too!

My God I love this anime/ game series... I took all of the picture inserts from every dvd in the series and framed them and put them on my wall... I need to rewatch it today... Brandon Heat vs Bloody Harry.. BIG DADDY!!! Grave, Beyond the Grave..

The original is still the best, and the frame rate issue are actually worse in Overdose. GORE is great, and better than Overdose, but that was only after the 2022 and 2023 updates. Gungrave 1 is so great, because it keeps it short and simple. It's a fun arcade game made for console that does not outstay its welcome and has the style to back it up.

all the gungrave games are great - the ps4 game is one of few games i have finished on every difficulty setting
I did the same, but on PS5 (and PC or Series X only) where they added in features from the Switch version, and allowed to Grave to do his full sprint like he does in Overdose.

man I still only have the ps2 Gungrave and Gungrave Overdose... I knew that G.O.R.E existed but just hadnt gotten to it yet... ok.. while I watch the series today, Im looking for a deal on buying G.O.R.E.. no more messing about

I wish I could play it but it literally made me sick to my stomach maybe I'll give it another go with a fan patch idk

If the original made you sick to your stomach, I have no idea how Overdose didn't. Since the first sequel is so much worse, has worse visuals, and a next to last final boss that loves chugging up the frame rate so much you can barely even move. Sorry that happened though. The original Dead Space's gravity sections give me dizziness and some headaches, which is why I prefer the remake and 2.

for real.. sorry I didnt see this post earlier... he rocks that good shit.. He made Trigun too, and you can totally see the similarities between Gungrave and Trigun... especially my favorite character ever Nicholas D. Wolfwood

wolfwood's cross was the first thing i thought of after seeing grave's coffin. the game reminded me a lot of trigun so im not surprised after finding out they where both made by the same person.
