Guilty Pleasure?

Do I like stage musicals? Of course I do. If you haven't already experienced "I Know It's Today" from Shrek the Musical, then you need this in your life right now.

When I look back on CDs that I bought and borrowed, I can find a bunch of guilty pleasure songs. You may not recognize "Every Teacher" by Mark Lowry, but once you hear the music, you'll understand the parody.

How he managed this if he's blind? ?
Jokes aside, about the topic of guilty pleasure, when it comes to music my guilty pleasure is some rap songs, that are full of stupid lyrics but with good/addicting beats.
is how exactly i felt the way on trap rap or either current mumble raps. i certainly dismissed it, didn't enjoy as much than their beats. Beats became their main course then got overflown their producers to achieved fame.
Yet "mUsIc ToO gUd" type shit is always come to mind when listening to Yeat.

tbh I try and be like "oh I have a cool taste in music" but then fuck dude I really love Guts by Olivia Rodrigo and folklore by Taylor Swift, throws a wrench in the idealized "too cool for mainstream" image

Lana Del 🐐 no need to hide that crodie.

Early 2000s boy bands. I am NOT a pop dude at all. I primarily listen to hiphop and hardcore with the side of weird electronic music. Something about shit like NSYNC just makes me feel good. It's not nostalgia so I have no clue on where my liking could come from.

i have a genuine love of eurobeat but the lyrical content and some vocal performances in general are just downright nonsense, though still catchy

None. Everything I like is perfect and without a flaw.
Except Bass

(It's a joke, i don't even know the character lol)

Guilty Pleasure 1 :
90s Techno and some Euro dance .

Before i became an metalhead and a fan of Rock'n'Roll, i heard alot of electric music back then .
Nowadays some of the music gives me the Cringe but i liked the vibes and the crazy attitude of the 90s . Perfect to laugh about and laugh with it . You still wouldnt hear it out from my car-radio except sometimes from my home while i doing some house cleaning or just diving into my weekend youtube-nostalgia tours. ::star-war

Guilty Pleasure 2 :

Limp Bizkit

On one point i somehow agree that his music aint so good but .... there are some tracks that i genuinely love for being so stupid but somehow are real Bangers too . While his attitude was more " him against the world " which can be explained as extremly annoying , i still find it cool that he pissed off alot of people from the Rap/Hip Hop and metal communities because they took it way too seriously while being fooled around by him . He was some sort of the Bugs Bunny in the 90s/2000s music scene. ::thinking

Maybe the worst Guilty Pleasure :

Eurobeat is great and i use it for almost every racing game i play .

There are times i cringe about the music entirely but other times i go back and get hyped up again . If it is suffering , why is this so sweat to experience it ? But if its really great , why do i have the urge to avoid it ? This duality of my enjoyment from eurobeat cant be healthy but i cant stop it ! ::dkfacepalm

I have no guilty pleasures. Guilty Pleasures are for the insecure. My gay ass was listening to tokusatsu, vocaloid and anime OPs in High School 100% of the time. They helped expand my knowledge of chord progressions and Japanese musical aesthetics B^)

Enjoying black metal critically is a tight line to walk, as many bands that are considered its origin or heavily influential are full of some truly awful people, and though i try to mitigate that guilt by listening to bands who arent fully of well known shit bags, i still do feel the need to acknowledge the subgenres muddied origins and history

You mean about how some Metal bands may be on the "N²" side (if I can say it like that)? Nowadays I don't publicly tell I enjoy Metal because of the connotations (as stupid as it may be).

But then again it's like saying that Rap as a whole is "encouraging using firearms, drugs and treating women like wh***" which is a pretty poor generalisation of an entire musical genre (even if I'm not fan of). Same with classical music being said to be "for intellectuals and bourgeois" despite that today anybody could listen to it for free on Youtube or other sites.

I try very hard not to generalize it in that way, and when I speak of these things, I am specifically thinking of the black metal subgenre, as it seems to attract some of the worst kind of bigots n idiots in the scene, whether it be through the lyrics in their songs or their actions off stage, but that is not to say there aren't those in the black metal scene who aren't respectable people. I can think of more than a handful who have next to no controversy to speak of in this regard. Singularity is some of the most enchanting black metal I've ever heard, and there is nothing else thats quite like Zeal & Ardor.

here's my guilty pleasure
I usually only listen to techno/trance stuff so no idea how it stays my playlist, it just does::cirnoshrug

This thrilling oddity will always be a classic.
