From what I remember they said they were still working on fixing some problems but that the campaign was fully playable from start to finishIs the GTA 3 Dreamcast port done yet? Last time i heard any news about it the port still had some issues to work out.
I think that'd be wayyy too much for a homebrew lmaoDo you think they can do gta san andreas next?
maybe in two discsDo you think they can do gta san andreas next?
fr ppl gotta live by the rule of never show off before you make itYou know the moment they were stupid enough to show it off they doomed it, right?
Rockstar's going to be dropping lawyers on them like anvils from orbit.
Unlike 3 and Vice City, there wasn't a decomp project for San Andreas since the team behind re3, reVC, and reLCS got that DMCA. They probably would have done it for Vice City Stories and San Andreas if they didn't get shot down. Sad too, VCS is still stuck on PSP/PS2 and it's really fun. I miss 2D/3D era GTA. Before the whole "cinematic" stuff went full blast with GTAIV. As good as VI will be, I probably won't be as into it as everyone else will be, I've just always preferred Rockstar's older stuff. I also sold my PS5 recently so I can't play it anyway until it drops on PC in like 7 more years.Do you think they can do gta san andreas next?
Honestly, I wish Rockstar would do a GTA classic collection. They should redo GTA1, London, and 2. I feel like if they redid the graphics and maybe made them play like Chinatown Wars people would like them more. I know a lot of people want to see those in 3D but I think the CTW gameplay would be better for them, that way they retain the bird-eye view while playing a lot smoother and looking sharper. Sorry for the rant, I just hate modern Rockstar. So many missed opportunities from them.Unlike 3 and Vice City, there wasn't a decomp project for San Andreas since the team behind re3, reVC, and reLCS got that DMCA. There are some fresh builds of GTA 3 as of Feb 23rd, 2025 available in the "Downloads" section of this sites forums section. Scope it outDamn, I never thought I'd see this running on DC as its definitely more technically demanding than GTAIII.
Then again, people not too long ago were saying that III would be too technically demanding for the console, yet here we are, with both of them running on it.
Wishing best of luck to the dev team, and I can't wait to see San Andreas somehow running on Dreamcast in 2028.

I'll probably wait till a 1.0 release comes out before I play it myself, as I've heard that playing it off a CD-R still causes some issues and stuttering due to the read speed
