Thanks for bringing this to the attention of the forums habibi. I plan to write an article about this but irl made it really difficult. Stay tuned though.

Well, it took me a while but I gave it a go and all I can say is: Don't bother.

1. It reminded me why I hated every single aspect of GTA IV back when I first played it.
2. It crashes a lot.
3. The infamous RC helicopter mission that never gave me any trouble before is unplayable with GTA IV physics.

I tried pretty much every patch available as of this post and as much as I respect the effort everyone put into making it work it's not worth your time. Just stick to Reverse Engineered original or emulating the PS2. What a disappointment.

If you just want to cruise around the city then it's alright I think. The lighting is different from the original and it doesn't look half bad. I had some flickering issues. I found something called Zolikapatch that fixed it. One thing that looked horrible no matter what I did was grass. I'd walk around and grass would just pop-in all around me no matter what settings I used or fixes I tried. Car models look particularly good, especially the damage model so if you're into GTA IV handling model you might enjoy it. Shooting while driving is also great since the original didn't do it too well.

I wanted to replay the game and on that front it failed me miserably but if you just want to drive around it might work for you. I haven't checked whether or not all the islands are unlocked from the get go.

As far as crashes that I could reproduce regularly. If you're stuck in an infinite loading screen try turning ENB script off in the launcher. Don't aim at people with a sniper rifle from too far away. Don't die. Yep, getting wasted crashed the game for me half the time.

One neat feature I should mention is that Tommy can swim and climb objects now. Original VC map isn't designed around you being able to swim but the guys who made the mod added a bunch of platforms and ladders so that you can get out of the water without swimming to the beach every time. You can climb over walls or onto platforms with the jump button and you get on a ladder with the same button you use to get in a car.

Huh nice to know I think since they put so much thought into it they will fix it eventually, maybe I'll wait for a definite fix before fully dive in ,I really like vice city so I will give it a try nevertheless ,thanks for the review
