Edit: I also don't doubt they'll do this sort of "physical code in the box has a hard and fast expiry" thing elsewhere. They definitely used to do it with stuff like those "online passes" back in the day.

I found out this morning. Sucks hard. I know Japan doesn't have that many GTA players, but good amount of them are fans. I have a feeling Sony is involved with this somehow. Glad I stopped caring for GTA after IV.
