This is a demo to test the game and report eventual bugs and mistakes, does not represent the final product.

Sorry, i don't want to complain, but wouldn't it be easier to directly work on a translation of the psp version of the first growlanser instead of a psp eboot of the ps1 version?
Because the translation and the eboot aren't from the same person. So unless the one behind the ps1 translation decides to port their work to the psp version (or somebody with the permission and the technical knowledge to do so) the only current solution to play the translated game on psp is to make an eboot of the ps1.

what's up, guys, the zip file for the first disc is broken
Don't worry brother!! download the link on the google drive just right below and you're good to go! I am already playing it on the psp and having a blast, as how good is the translation and the game story itself! Thanks to murmur.me to share his conversion on this very site! (I don't know why is showing 3 cds instead of 2 tough, althoug I am not complaining, just comenting :)

that option usually comeout only if all discs are on the same eboot in the psp when using psx games
It is not that hard I suppose. Someone just have to download both eboots and see if the option appears. If not, it is not possible. I would do that, but my memory stick is full, Of course I am willing to do that. But I am a bit patient right now. Playing Dragon Quest IV on the DS with the AMAZING party chat that some other heroes includes and was also provided in this very site! Really guys, DQIV with party chat on the DS, with those charming character portraits by Akira Toryama in the status and battle menu ( which by the way in the Android version are miniscule to the point of being almost nonexistent) I am playing for about 11 plus hours right about yeasterday and having a BLAST!! The party chat is beyond being just funny, corcky or just plain nice! It is ANOTHER ballpark!! Characters are so flash out, so much personality and charm!! Even the Non Player characters that joins your party (Like Healie for example who wants to be a human and helps Ragnar in the first chapter) Party chat puts DQIV from DS in the UPPER ECHELON of high tear RPGs I've played so far!! Well, but I am still in hopes of playing Growlanser 1 someday!!

May I also say how engaging and fun the battle system in the Growlanser series are? Serious, to the first game. I remember playing it with the english script on my side, It mixes real time strategy with a system I find very reminiscent of Grandia, in that, if you see a enemy going to attack someone you can automatically change your action if you will. Of course you will have to reach the enemy first. You can change your actions depending on the tide of the battle!! O NO!! (Insert old Joseph's meme here) Now I remember the feeling!! The thrill !! I am getting SO HYPED to play this game!! C'mon!!!

I hope the game would make you save progress when you end disc 1 so you can load it from disc 2.
If it doesn't do that it would be a problem.
First of all, thanks to all the efforts putting into translated this masterpiece of a game! Not an easy task by any means!! You guys are true heroes, really!! Second, thanks to Spike to do the labor of patching it and post in the best retrogame site in the universe! I think that the only way to know if it is possible to swap discs, is doing the same thing I use to do when I am playing the Thousand Arms Undub ( Greatly recomed this version as the voices are indeed better than the english ones, with the likes of guys who gave voices to Usopp, as Meis and also Shanks as Shaft ) The trick is first you try to restart the 1st CD open the menu and choose to play the 2 second one instead, of course it will ask you to change discs. If Growlanser can provide this option, it will be possible to play. If not, well that means a sad no.... :( ! For me at least, as I like to play my PSPGo on the Go (Pum intended kkkkk)

most likely have to exit out and open the other like how they did trails in the sky 2nd chapter

Thank you for sharing this game already translated into English in PSP EBoot format and I understand that you could not create a single eboot on both discs although it is more due to the limitations of some program to convert the ISOs from PS1 to .pbp than anything else but the effort is appreciated despite the fact that this version in format .pbp is in testing and demonstration.

Was meaning to ask awhile ago, are newer psx2psp conversions using POP-FE or the old psx2psp tool for the conversions?
