One of them at least. Still really curious about Kenzan. I hear pretty mixed things, but still.Even the ancient japan spin off made it.

In Europe it was titled Shadow of Memories instead. Marginally better in my mind, since destiny is just such an overused term in gaming - also easier to google - but not exactly ideal either.Shadow of Destiny may as well be a poster child for this. It’s the most unique game I’ve played in my life, being a time traveling supernatural horror murder mystery puzzle open world game, but it was cursed by a name that google keeps confusing for the other destiny. A shame.
pretty sure they finished a fan translation recently. One of them at least. Still really curious about Kenzan. I hear pretty mixed things, but still.
I don't agree with the title being generic, but I do agree that it gives the wrong impression. Reading the title alone, I too though it was a girly game much like tose shovel ware games based on girly IPs like Barbie and the Olsen Twins. I turns out it was a pet sim, but instead of a pet is a girl. And even with kinky elements in it, some of them more subtle, others more overt.Princess Maker.
I mean from the title alone, you'd think it's a game made for little girls. Probably something akin to one of those terrible Elsa foot-fetish mobile games.
But no. If anything, it's a pet-raising-sim for wannabe dads.
I'd say it's more targeted towards men than it is women. But you'd never know that from the title.
They're also all really great games as well.
Well, what else should they be? Uncool and unfitting? Are they supposed to make a fantasy RPG and call it Whippersnapper Bowling? This thread has made me re-realize that most video game titles are just a combination of words that sound vaguely cool, cute, or fitting for the game.
My perception of the English language is now even more ruined than it already was. Thanks RGT!![]()
Sometimes they are very much one or the other, or both. S.C.A.T is unfitting, Final Mission (same game, in Japan) is generic.Well, what else should they be? Uncool and unfitting? Are they supposed to make a fantasy RPG and call it Whippersnapper Bowling?
It’s hard to call gmod a game at this point, it transcended that status two decades ago.Garry's Mod.
Sounds like basic indie unity-based platformer if you think about it.
You may call it Jeff's Mod and people still wouldn't know any better.
But it had nuance with a nice context behind that is hard to replicate somehow with fangames , imo .Castlevania, but not the title, but its subtitles. Like, there are
Symphony of the night
Harmony of dissonance
Aria of sorrow
Lament of innocence
Curse of darkness
Circle of the moon
Dawn of sorrow
And so on...
Castlevania: something of something
