Comedy seems kind of dead these days as people can't really take a joke anymore, but there are great comedians I used to love

Bill Hicks

Dave Chappelle

George Carlin

At the top of the mountain,
Rik Mayall & Adrian Edmondson are still beating the living piss out of each other.

These 3 idiots make me laugh so much.

There is also Chris Morris (Watch Jam).

Bob Saget
Jimmy Carr
Sam Kinison
Eddie Izzard
Jeff Dunham

Bonus: Jerry Sadowitz if you like offensive stuff but he tends to be rather protective of his material so it's pretty hard to find online.

In terms of modern comedians I like the first name that comes to mind is Stavros Halkias!

Update: I love the old school jokes, since many people nowadays would immediately jump the gun on being offensive on any form of jokes made on almost anything. Even the race ones (If all races are made a joke then none are being targeted specifically)

Robin Williams. He is still the best.
Jim Carrey
Eddie Murphy
Will Ferrell. He was amazing in Anchorman and Megamind.
Mike Myers
Johnny Knoxville

Some of my favorites are Ralphie May (RIP), John Pinette (also RIP), Gabriel Iglesias, George Lopez, and Kat Williams

I still re-watch Ralphie's "Just Correct" special every so often and it is still DAMN funny after all these years

Richard Pryor is probably still my top pick, but Mitch Hedberg is a close second.

RIP Rik, that was and still is a sad day.

I'm not much for standup but I like when comedians get together and do other shows, like these:

Johnny Vegas (my #1 favorite)

Bob Mortimer

Sean Locke (RIP)

Roisin Conaty and Joe Wilkinson

David Mitchell
